We are recent KC transplants and have a new Puli puppy. Hailey was amazing getting our pup scheduled and coming up with a plan to cord her! It is impossible to find someone who really knows about working with cords, we really lucked out being referred to this office! Our pup also had a new patient vet visit, so our pooch met her new doc at the same time!
Thank you so much for your care today! We have another dog AND two cats and will definitely be coming back!!!

Incredible Doctor and staff. Saved our boy! Best care and advice for a 300 mile radius. State of the art facility. If you want the best, go here. Very personal and caring staff. They explained everything and responded off hours to us. Can't say enough for the off hours connect and information. Made a huge difference where our animals will go from now on.

We've been using Plaza Animal Clinic as needed the last five years, but as our cat was entering old age, we needed their services a lot the past year. We always felt that the staff was warm, but we found that to be especially true in the final weeks. When I called to discuss his loss of quality of life, I was happy that I was met with empathy and compassion. Despite Covid and handling animals mostly by coming out to get them from cars, they have set aside blocks of time for euthanasia so that owners can come in to be with their pets during their final minutes. I transferred my pup to the Plaza Animal Clinic near the end of August because this location offers grooming along with vet care. Who doesn't like a one-stop shop? My pup is approx 8lbs and super easy going even though she is less than 1 year old. Her name is Lola and she is a shih tzu mix. When I brought Lola home from her first grooming appointment at Plaza Animal Clinic, I discovered a couple of fleas which then gave her a tape worm. Poor babe, right?! Even though Lola takes a monthly pill to prevent things like fleas, she is a dog and dogs get fleas from time to time. I did not blame Plaza

Dr. Twig is conscientious, knowledgeable and puts you at ease even in difficult situations. All the veterinarians and staff there are compassionate people who genuinely care about your animal . Our dog had to have her leg amputated after complications from a leg surgery(not done there). It was difficult for us but Dr Twig helped us through the process. The staff is amazing . These are just the kind of people you want caring for your animal that is like family to you.

I was very concerned about finding a good vet due to my cat's very sick condition. I am so lucky to have found the Plaza Animal Clinic! Dr. Lesage, and all the other employees at the clinic made it extremely obvious that they cared deeply about my cat's well being. They make sure that I would be able to give my cat the insulin and care he needed to get healthy again and he is now thriving! I would strongly recommend coming here is you are in need of a vet in Kansas City!

We recently relocated to Kansas City and were in need of a vet for both our Jack Russel Terrier and Maine Coon. Plaza Animal Clinic is conveniently located on the South Plaza and has extremely competitive pricing.
They have been able to accommodate our schedules and always provide great customer service. The entire staff has always been so friendly and we know that our pets are in good hands!

Great staff at this place, they really have a knack for customer care. Very glad I found them when I moved back to KC, as I have a special needs crew. I probably saw them ten times in my first year home, for a wide variety of critter ailments.
They just guided me through my sweet old dog's terminal cancer. Right by our side when we needed them, including at the very end. That's not something you forget. In fact I think it's fair to say I will literally never forget it.
I got a letter a couple of weeks later from the university of Missouri letting me know the plaza animal clinic

Dr. Twigg and all the staff are well-trained and do an excellent job with my under-socialized rescue pit bull -- who is a sweetheart but scared to death of new people. When she swallowed a peach pit and had to have bowel obstruction surgery they gave me a variety of treatment option and a comprehensive estimate for each. She ended up having the exploratory surgery and Dr. Twigg did a great job, even personally called to check on her the day after. Of course it wasn't cheap but I feel like it was very competitively priced compared to other vets.

Plaza Animal Clinic is always friendly, prices are competitive to other vet clinics, and the doctors are knowledgeable. Also- they do 3 year rabies vacs along with KCMO pet licenses. I started with Dr. Mountain and since she retired now go to Dr. Twigg, who is just fantastic. They have treated our Mastiff, lab, English bulldog and everyone in our fuzzy family. I highly recommend!!

I really like this clinic. It reminds me of my beloved bet in Chicago. They really take time with my dog- make over her, talk to me and take a whole approach to my dog's health. I had gone to a very large "premier" animal clinic in the burbs, and I just felt like I was in a bit more of an impersonal clinical setting. Not here- all great folks. Am thrilled I found them!

I had a great first-time experience at this location today. I called early this morning and I was able to get an appointment made by 2:30 for my adult cat. The woman at the desk was incredibly friendly, kind, and efficient when it came to getting all of my paperwork handled and the information on my cat switched over into their system. We waited probably just a few minutes before my cat was taken back into the exam room, where they had 2 people handling her (one to check her body and the other to keep her calm). The vet was able to quickly diagnose the issue and tell me about my care options.

Absolutely wonderful! We have been to several vet clinics, and Plaza Animal is the best. Dr. Wages-Nichols, along with the vet techs and the receptionist, know my dogs and I by name and are always so warm, welcoming, and friendly. Prices are reasonable, too. I would never hesitate to place my dogs in care of the folks at Plaza Animal.

I love this clinic. Their prices are fair, and it's never difficult to make an appointment for a check up or get seen if my little fuzzy is ill. Two ladies I have dealt with in the front (Mary and Molly) have always been completely pleasant and lovely. Those two even make me feel like they are Markie's aunts. We both feel great when they tell us Markie's cute, especially knowing how many dogs and cats they see every day.
Dr. Mountain is great too. Understanding and kind. I'm a first time dog parent, so I get anxious that I'm missing something in her care, Dr. Mountain

Never knew this vet existed until my regular vet referred me here because they were booked up for several days. Needless to say, my wife and I (and Bailey our Lab) were really impressed. I especially liked the way that Dr. Mary Mountain interacted with our dog and us, making all feel comfortable. Price was also very reasonable (we had feared the worse about Bailey's condition). And when they said that they would be sending our records back to our regular vet, I told them not to bother, because we had just found a new vet home for Bailey and Romeo (our Pug). Thanks to Mary and staff for
