We believe that a good quality of life does not simply translate to good health, but that a strong bond between pets and their family members is essential to the lives of both. This is why we strive to protect and nurture the human-animal bond, doing all we can to ensure that pets truly are family, too.
Because of the significance of this bond, we place great emphasis on education and involvement. Enjoying activities together such as strolls to the park, hikes along our desert trails, taking a training class, or simply meeting up with friends at the dog park can provide wonderful opportunities to encourage good health, develop discipline, and create life-long friendships (for the entire family!).

Services
We are a primary care animal hospital offering complete services in preventative health, medicine, surgery, dentistry, and radiology. We believe that above all else, a comprehensive physical exam is the most important part of your pet's visit. From "nose to toes" and everything in-between, we always provide a full physical exam.
Sometimes your pet may require advanced care and treatment. We're fortunate to reside in a city where specialized veterinarians and staff serve our community. Did you know we have a variety of board-certified specialists in the fields of internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, dentistry, neurology, behavior, and critical care?

They absolutely Are wonderful. When my boxer hayle was sick. She came (dr vigil smith) to my home to check on her several times
She absolutely rocks. When my baby "Carmella got sick with first signs parvo they squeezed me in) since dr vigil smith was not there they knew I had been there and saw my baby. They treated me just like she would. No DOUBT in my mind that she chose vets that had the kindness and love for animals as she does Thank you desert hills animal clinic. Rose Serrano and carmella. YOU ROCK

Desert Hills was recommended to us by numerous people when we needed a vet, and rightly so. From the first phone call to our latest appointment we have had nothing but good experiences. The ENTIRE staff is amazing and helpful. They were so patient with our semi feral cats (and us) who were terrified of everything. These are people who care about animals...and people too!
Thanks for the great service, Desert Hills!

This is the worst animal clinic in the city. DO NOT go here! The prescribed my dog the wrong medication before even running any tests. When they ran the tests they called me to tell me the medication they gave me would not work but the only way for me to get the correct medication was to go back into the clinic and get him checked out again..which of course would cost another $150. They are only in it for the money. They do not care about your pet at all.

My dog had an eye infection, and our regular vet couldn't fit her in. I didn't want to have to take her to an emergency vet, but I couldn't wait. This place was willing to see her that day. They did a great job. It was $109 for everything, including being seen, plus a special eye exam with a florescent light (which apparently took three vet techs to hold her still for), plus antibiotic eye drops, which is a pretty good deal. Vet care is expensive. On top of that, they cleaned her ears and cut her nails for free. Most other vets will nickel and dime you for those services. Another place charged

The best of the best. The staff takes care of and treats the patients (pets) as if they were their own. I entrusted two dogs to their care. One elderly for teeth extractions and one for emergency surgery. Both received professional care with lots of love. I highly recommend Desert Hills for all of your pets needs.
