Laurence Shaw is a graduate of Pace University School of Law (1991) and was admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut ('92). He earned his undergraduate degree from State University of New York, College at Oneonta (1982), majoring in both Speech Communications and Business Economics.

Past business experience includes working at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the claims department, from 1983 to 1994, during which time he was promoted to Assistant Claims Manager of Workers' Compensation and No-Fault units, comprised of forty+ (40) claims professionals.While at the insurance company, he worked his way through law school in the evenings.
He completed undergraduate studies at Pace University (1992) majoring in International Business with a minor in Political Science. Past work experience includes working at SIS International Inc. as an International Market Research Analyst and work at the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant Trial Attorney.
New medical treatment guidelines and permanent impairment guidelines have also been enacted and they are ever-changing. You have paid into 'the system' and if you become permanently disabled, you may be entitled to these benefits.
