Comparison is the thief of joy. Incredibly cliche, I know. But so, so important to hold close. When you think about what you want out of your portrait session I would love for you to do one thing: forget about what you think your session should be and, instead, think about all the things your session COULD be.

When you hold the expectation that your images should look exactly like your friends' images; that you want to match those Pinterest perfect poses; or that these captures will add to your Insta feed, what you're really doing is restricting the very essence of what is truly unique about you and your family.
