With sincere commitment and genuine compassion, The Whites launched Alta Vista Mental Health - and later, the nonprofit Alta Vista Community Resource Center - to support clients wherever they are on their path to wellness.

I have had multiple issues with them getting the correct meds to the correct pharmacy. I like them doctors but say for that I would avoid coming here. I called several days ago to try and be seen as I've been off my meds for some time. No return call, no follow up and the sad part is I had already anticipated this and scheduled elsewhere. For a clinic that deals with mental health you'd expect them to try their utmost to help reduce any stress associated with the whole process. That unfortunately in my case was not the service I received.

Don’t listen to these reviews. Alta Vista has truly helped me throughout the years. I started at Crossroads where Noelle guided me and the caseworkers put my needs first. I needed help again and called Noelle and she assisted me with getting the help that was needed. Phew, to seeing familiar faces! The receptionists greeted me once I arrived and were genuine and kind. Admission process speaking with Kelsey was pleasant and eased by anxiety. Professionalism through the end. I would highly recommend this agency.

Had to wait 3 weeks for office intake. When I came 15 minutes early I was told my appointment had been rescheduled for the end of April. Dr. Had been sick. Receptionist had very little sympathy for me just a curt ...sorry.

If you’re in any kind of crisis, STAY AWAY!!!! It should NOT take literally almost a year to start seeing someone, no matter how “busy” the practice claims to be, and yet that was exactly my experience. Despite leaving multiple voice mails pleading for a call back, more often than not they would just ignore the message. Also, if you do decide to give these jokers a try, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BILLS, because they WILL try and bill you for services not even rendered. Still at a loss as to how I could’ve been seen by my therapist in December when I have neither lived in nor visited Reno since

I had a horrible experience with the intake coordinator. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Dr.DeKay was great, however due to such horrible receptionist staff I will be looking for a new clinic. The intake coordinator should not work with mental health patients who are mentally unstable as she is extremely rude and condescending.

This is an amazing place for therapy especially with Marie. The front desk receptionist Stephanie is also so very sweet. The only thing that is very disturbing is that the medication management with Catherine was absolutely unprofessional. My 1st appointment with her was already 2 hours behind and she could not figure out if I needed to wean myself off of paxil before trying a new medication for my anxiety and depression. I have worked in the medical field for 7 years and was excited to actually have somebody knowledgeable of these medications. She is not knowledgable of these medications, she

I've been really patient with this company despite the fact every time I've gone in they screwed me over. First visit they had my name and birthday incorrect.. Not a good first impression. Then I was in the process of getting a appointment for therapy, they put me on a waiting list. Finally got a appointment that worked with my work schedule. They canceled my appointment the day of my appointment even after they confirmed a day ago. Now telling me they overbooked the Therapist. So of course I had to get put back on the waiting list. I finally got the appointment, got the confirmation right before

Helpful. We’re glad their program is here in Nevada. Not many places here who want to help but Alta Vista Mental Health goes above and beyond. Other programs here do the bare minimum and act as if they’re being put out to do their job. Why work in these programs then.
