Our goal is to make your addition or remodel look like it was original. We can update, expand, or make any part of your house or commercial building more usable and efficient. Building a new home is a complicated endeavor involving endless options. We will guide you through these countless decisions, organize the schedule, and manage the project.
Detail: This is a custom home we designed and built to reflect the style of an old, rustic, cabin. The cabin has a loft, first floor, and basement. In order to achieve the "rustic" look, a variety of methods were used. The roofing is a new, but rustable, metal roof sheething. Reclaimed lumber was used as the main ceiling rafters, the porch framing members, and many of the details such as trim, posts, and railings.
Gerrit Bothof Sr. has been building things since the day he could pick up a tool. Being the high school shop teacher's favorite student soon translated into an Industrial Arts degree from Fresno State. In 1975 he founded Bothof Construction, doing everything from minor dairy construction to remodels and custom homes.

I planned on doing some update/remodel to my home. This company came highly recommended so I called them for a bid. We had a meeting October 1, 2020. We went over all my plans, took measurements and notes and discussed project start dates. It is now January 10, 2021 and I have never heard back from them since. Not very courteous and certainly poor business etiquette. I am glad that they are so busy that they don’t need my business. They probably don't need yours either!
