Services
In Philadelphia I worked mainly at Public Mental Health Clinics as both a Case Manager and later as a therapist, but I also worked for a while in homeless services and even worked for a City-managed Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization. I was later hired to supervise a large Day Hospital Program which served adults with a variety of needs, both for mental health and substance abuse.

We offer a pleasant, comfortable private-practice office setting where our team of experienced male and female therapists guide each client through their unique journey as they rediscover their strengths, grow towards recovery and attain the personal achievement for which they're striving.
We are a multi-disciplinary practice offering exceptional customer service, excellence of clinical care and fast scheduling for new clients. Once a referral is completed, we aim to schedule an intake within 1-3 days. In urgent situations, we endeavor to accommodate same day service. We now have six seasoned male and female clinicians on staff with a broad range of experience.

They request insurance information, as well as photos of your cards. They will then tell you they have spoken to your insurance and claim they will cover your therapy sessions. You will then be smacked with unauthorized payments taken out of your bank account with no notice, and no receipt of invoice. Oh, and good luck getting anyone to call you back or explain any of it. Very unprofessional. Opposed to taking the blame for their mistake they tried to place blame on my insurance company, who I have never had an issue with. This company has robbed me of hundreds of dollars leaving me with monetary

I leave this review as a new patient seeking therapy at difficult time in my life. I am going through a separation involving young children and really need help to process this.
I initially contacted this practice in early June (2021) to start the new patient process and it has been difficult to say the least. I had to call the practice a week after filling out new patient info because I had received no response. If i Could give this counseling center 0 stars I would. Not only did I get a e-mail stating that my insurance was covering 100% of the sessions and would be 0$, I was also pushed to go once a week....I was hit with a LARGE bill a few weeks later and without authorization (after we discussed a payment plan for this hefty bill) they charged my account the full amount without confirming with me first. DEFINITELY FIND HELP ELSE WHERE. shady business practices here.

I began my process with TLC at the end of July. I completed my registration, my insurance was put on file as well as a debit card. After they approved my method of payment I went 3 WEEKS with no form of communication from this practice. No email. No phone call. I had to call them. I spoke with Alex who “resent” the email for me to be able to access the patient portal to set an appointment. I followed the link to another dead end. I have been a patient there. I have PTSD and was working with a therapist there.
This illness is painfully hard to deal with and I'm a bit forgetful at times, especially with what I been through. The therapist and I were making somewhat of a break through, she knew me well at that point.
They terminated me during this Global Pandemic, when I visited my sister out of state and it was Video Therapy. I really needed my therapist to continue the work we started and they did not care one bit.
I called and begged and they said because I canceled an appointment they're terminating me. I explained I

I have worked with several of the therapists here and can give nothing other than glowing reviews. It is the most welcoming, relaxing office space I have ever been in - wants to make you spend more time there. And I love having access to therapists with such a wide range of expertise and approaches all in one place.

Simply put, they will steal your money! All might be fine until you find that you have to cancel your appointment. Then nothing but crickets! No reply from your therapist, no reply from the office, either by phone or email!
Best just to stay away. Stay far, far away!

I have been seeing Lydia Long for over a year. As someone who has had multiple therapists over the years I can say with confidence that she is the most caring and helpful person I have ever seen. She has brought me through multiple seasons of my life and has given me the tools to continue to advocate for my mental health. I honestly look forward to our sessions. She took my strengths and used them to help me confront my weaknesses. I would recommend her over and over again.
