Services
Knocked out (avulsed) teeth. If one of their teeth has been knocked out, especially a permanent one, it is important that you come in. It is also important to know that we may be able to replant their tooth. If you are able to find the tooth, be careful not to touch the root. Store the tooth in milk until you are able to get your child to the office.
Your child has experienced dental trauma or an infection. When their tooth experiences damage or the interior has become infected, we will do everything possible to save it. In some cases, a crown may be enough, or the tooth may need a root canal. However, there are some instances when neither of these treatments will help.
Some medications may cause dry mouth, while others contain extra sugars. Both of these factors turn their mouth into an ideal environment for oral bacteria to thrive. Some children are prescribed a special diet that is high in starches (and other carbohydrates). These can stick to their teeth and make them more prone to dental issues.
We strive to schedule an appropriate time for each patient family that visits Puyallup Pediatric Dentistry, taking into account the individual needs of each child. While we understand that emergencies happen, and it's difficult to plan for the unexpected, it's important that we respect the time of our staff, as well as those patients who may be waiting for an appointment with us.
At Puyallup Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to provide your child with the best possible oral health care is a safe, comfortable environment. We understand, as a parent, that you have many concerns.

Dr. Hersey and all the ladies in his office do a great job. I was pretty nervous and hesitant at first not knowing how my daughter would react with seeing a dentist. They did such a great job she asks when she can go back. We just finished our visits for some fillings and she doesn't like shots what so ever and they were able to do all the treatments without her even freaking over it. They do a great job!

Thank you Dr. Hersey and the team for the incredible experience you give my sons at your office. That explains the 500+ five stars your office has. I would recommend any one to bring kids to see you and your team. Your kind heart and gentle soul is immeasurable. Your team is top notch. I couldn't ask for more. My kids love the kids door bringing in a little Disney experience.

We could not have asked for a better experience! The hygienist was very calm and explained everything so that nothing was scary. When there was a nervous moment she took a moment to reassure before moving on. This start to the appointment made it successful! The DR is just as calm and relaxing for the patient!

I found Dr. Hersey after having multiple issues with another children's dental clinic. My son was very apprehensive about visiting the dentist because of his previous experiences at the othet dentist. Dr. Hersey was absolutely the best choice we could have ever made. He was thorough, explained his concept and approaches to dental care, he was reassuring, funny, personable and actually cared. I cant say enough about how happy I am to have found him. My only regret is not finding him sooner so my son wouldn't have had to endure the pain from the other dentist. I highly reccomend dr. Hersey

After coming to Dr. Hersey's office for a second opinion visit, I can honestly say that this is hands down the best dental office I have ever stepped foot in. My two year old child has special medical needs, and I felt that the level of attention, concern, and respect for us was by far the best I could have asked for. The staff was professional and welcoming from the front desk, to the dentist himself (and everyone in between!) As a mother of a child with severe allergies, it is comforting to be able to have a real conversation where I didn't feel rushed, pressured, or like I was being
