The heart and soul of how I help others is as a counselor who meets clients where they are in life, relationships, struggles, and so on. My education and eight years of experience have prepared me to work with individuals, couples and families with a breadth of issues related to relationship struggles, addiction, moderate to severe emotional disturbances (anxiety/depression), trauma and mental disorders.
I believe we have the power not just to survive, yet we deserve to thrive in life. When my clients first come in, I want them to feel comfortable and at ease. You deserve to be heard. I hope to build a relationship that allows you to be you, develops understanding and trust, and can be supportive while working through the challenging parts.
As a counselor, my client's individuality is respected, including their spiritual or religious beliefs, while recognizing that each person has unique reasons for receiving therapy. I desire to establish a safe environment that allows us to develop a collaborative relationship to assess issues, set goals and achieve growth.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit New Leaf Counseling. I understand that finding the right counselor for your specific needs can be a difficult task, so I believe it is helpful to give you a little bit of information about myself for you to get a sense of who I am and how I operate as a counselor.
When your husband's addiction to pornography leaves you shattered, betrayed, and alone, where do you turn? Who do you turn to? Vicki Tiede, writing from personal experience, gently guides women toward God and away from despair. Through daily readings and questions on six important topics: hope, surrender, trust, identity, brokenness, and forgiveness, you will grow in healing and hope.

I do not support businesses where the “Biblical Counselor” has a son that was arrested for molesting a SEVEN year old child on Christmas and he continues to protect and support his son. This does not sound… Christ like or Biblical to me.
I certainly would not support or recommend a business where the counselor giving out recommendations on how to better your life raised a monster who would ever do such a thing to a little CHILD. Shame on each and every one of you. As counselors I am sure you are WELL aware of how this will forever shape this young victim. He took her innocence

Whether you have conflict in your marriage, or personal struggles that you need to work through, I highly recommend you make the commitment to find a counselor. Sean Ruthrauff and New Leaf Counseling, were recommended to us by our church. My wife and I were going through a very difficult time in our marriage when we found Sean. We are incredibly… grateful for his ability to walk us through how to have a conversation when one or both of us are triggered with some type of emotion. He provided thought-provoking exercises for us to accomplish throughout the week. We feel like we were on a well

Sean Ruthrauff at New Leaf Counseling is an excellent counselor! My husband and I were in desperate need of wise Christian marital counseling and definitely found it with Sean. He is a down-to-earth, no… bones about it type of guy which is what we both needed. I would recommend counseling with Sean to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
