Our client care representatives will try to accommodate your appointment requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have a life threatening emergency, please call us or immediately bring in your fur-baby. When possible it is best to call before coming in so our team can prepare for your arrival.
Our facility includes digital radiology, surgery suite and the ability to run in-house laboratory diagnostics. Our commitment is to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. We look forward to seeing you & treating your kiddos with love & compassion in a fear free environment.

I took my baby in because she had a super upset stomach. The staff was so responsive and helpful. They communicated throughout the whole process and kept my stress as low as possible. I highly recommend taking your animals here whether it's routine or an emergency.

Really just above and beyond awesome! I'm sad to have to leave them (moving overseas).

Wonderful veterinary clinic with amazing staff, especially Dr Cole. Referred here by my friend who has been going there for years and after a few appointments with our newly rescued dogs I can attest to how great they are at taking care of our animals and communicating well with us about everything.

Dr Cole and the staff are amazing, my Kass had some real issues with persons and other k9 interactions. Dr Cole took the time to build and establish a relationship with him, not an easy task as he weighs over 110lbs and doesn't like people getting close. now Kass loves her and has made her part of his pack. what an outstanding Doc!!!!

Dr Cole has been our vet for 16 years. She has provided outstanding care for our 4 dogs and I wouldn’t trust them with a one else. My yorkie was recently diagnosed with diabetes and Dr Cole provided her with medication that made am immediate change. Her staff is kind and professional and provides excellent service. Love Malaherd Vet Hospital. ❤️

Dr Cole and the staff are the best. Dr Cole takes the time to really look into the true issues related to my pets. She spends time after hours emailing me update and taking her time off to help make sure KASS is taken care of. I realize she can’t be everywhere all the time but I know when she says she will do something it gets done. Dr Cole and the staff are polite and professional they try and help when with all the Covid restrictions new ways of doing business are pretty hard if you ask a question you get an answer and they are always willing to help. Great Job Dr Cole and Staff your awesome

I would like to start off by saying the staff here and Dr. Cole are very pleasant and friendly. HOWEVER... I am very displeased with this place. I am here from Arizona quarantining and was told by my vet to see someone here to get my dogs medication in the mean time. I sent vet records and made the situation very clear to the doctor when I called for the appointment. When I got there she refused to fill the meds and proceeded to ask me if I wanted blood work done. I was disappointed because not only did I specifically state what the appointment was regarding, I sent the medication information earlier

We just moved here from CA and I have to say one of the things I was most worried about was finding a vet for our baby Rosie the Chihuahua. What a great office. So down to earth, quick and resolved her issues. I am sorry I dont remember the doctors name but she has dark hair and is amazingly nice as is the staff. And compared to what I have experienced in the past you get a lot more one on one doc time. Thanks so much and we will be back for all care.

The worst vet experience I've had.
I'm a vet technician myself, so I've had plenty of experience with other clinics either working there or taking my dogs for a check-up. Moving to ABQ I wasn't sure of what clinic to go to but saw that this one had good reviews and was close by to my house, so I decided to try it out. They offer a "puppy package" which basically includes required vaccines/exams/fecal tests/bloodwork/heartworm prevention for slightly less than $300 total.
This is pretty normal and makes things easy, however, to start off I was told the package included

Dr. Cole and her staff are outstanding! Not only did they immediately fit in my old dog who got into Christmas chocolate, but when he went back for dental work they treated him like a king. When he woke up from the anesthesia and would not stop whining, Dr. Cole carried him around to calm him down. Wow! His family doesn't even carry him around!

This office has cold laser therapy and I am so impressed with how well it works! One of our Great Pyrenees had the treatment done on his leg and it has helped him tremendously. I highly recommend this office. Our other Pyr is going to have the treatment done as well to see if it can help with his arthritis.

Ten stars out of five! From the moment we walked in the door, we knew this was our new vet! From the receptionist, to the vet tech, to Dr. Cole, our two Chihuahuas were treated with gentleness, compassion and care. Dr. Cole listened to all of my concerns, answered my questions, and gave me new information. We are new to the area, and tried out two other practices first, and were very disappointed. I'm glad we kept looking!

I have had an amazing experience with Dr. Cole of Malaherd Vet Hospital. She is caring, trustworthy & will treat your animals like her own...she is very compassionate & has been with me through very hard times with some losses of my animals.
I highly recommend her.
Additionally, I learned that she has recently completed "fear free" certification training which is being implemented in all areas of her hospital to ensure the animals are in as stress-free an environment as possible.
