Marie Papp did an amazing job creating my headshot, which is my current image on LinkedIn. She really transformed my look and the end result was amazing. Marie was great through the whole process - from when I was researching different photographers to onsite with wardrobe selection and then taking the time to get some great photos. I am very glad that I reached out to Marie for my Headshot done. Marie guided me through the process very professionally , right from the first step of wardrobe selection with various color option to balance the need of presenting professionalism with very energy. Marie also explained the different cue techniques during the shoot to exhibit positive energy. She is amazing, her mindful advice of bringing a few outfits so she can suggest what fits and looks best in front of the camera made for a great experience. This was my first professional headshot and I was a little nervous. Marie and her colleague were really great. They made me feel at ease and helped me to pick out the best outfit based on my goals for the photo. I had my hair and makeup done by Marie's colleague - she did a fantastic job (I just wish I remembered her name!). I was so impressed by Marie. I had been tasked with getting new headshots for work and she was the absolute perfect fit for me. Responsive, attentive, creative: all these words can be used to describe her.

I went to Marie for new headshots. I like the fact that she is a woman photographer and she has a studio is Hoboken. I filled out the booking form on her website, and she gave me a call to talk about my ideas for my shoot to make sure she was a match for me. I worked with Marie to get professional headshots taken and had a fantastic experience. Marie and I discussed wardrobe in the week leading up to the photo session, and she was very helpful in recommending outfits that would both look good and stand out (I even ended up keeping an Ann Taylor dress she recommended specifically for the shoot). I would also highly recommend getting hair and makeup done. Updating my review after sadly seeing other affected by the same issues I've encountered with Marie Papp. I am very sorry to say my first review was as a result of also holding my negatives ransom, as Steve F. has posted having the same issue.
Marie was great to work with at the start, we took all the shots I requested and was happy with the results. However, when it came down to releasing the images, she absolutely refused to. I've worked with many photographers and this was an absolute shock to me. We agreed on 3 'professionally' re-touched images and verbally agreed to release

Marie captured all the right moments on our wedding day. From the preparation to the portraits, from the ceremony to the reception, she got perfect photographs, paying attention to the slightest details (she even got copies of the marriage license signing and dressing our dog for the ceremony!) Every time we review the album we our taken back to that day and can remember every detail. We highly recommend her as the right person for your special day!

Marie Papp is truly a pro....she is detail orientated and worked very closely to make sure my hair is just the way I like it. She even helped select my wardrobe and accessories that would look best on camera. She would show me images in the middle of the shoot to make sure I was happy with the results. My new headshots are great, natural but very professional at the same time. She guaranteed that I would love my new headshots and I do!

If you are looking to take professional head shots then you should definitely go to Marie. She prepares you well for the shot by advising what to wear, makeup, hair etc. and on the day of the shot she makes you pose/ rotate your face and upper body to achieve the perfect angle for the headshot (very few photographers do that)

I recently moved and started a new job, which unbeknownst to me would be accompanied by a request from my new employer for a "headshot" for use on the company's website. I can't say enough good things about Marie Papp Photography. Marie and her staff were very professional and truly talent artists. I did not realize that weddings get so hectic and family is your toughest quests but she handled them with ease, buffered me from the stress, which help make my special day great.
