This is why Wyncote Animal Hospital is a veterinary facility whose mission is to provide optimal client education to pet owners and personalized veterinary care for pets. We genuinely care about and treat your pets as one of our own animals!
Services
We strongly recommend spaying and neutering non-breeding animals. We place special emphasis on perioperative pain management to reduce stress and provide comfort for the healing patient following surgery. Please feel free to inquire about our surgical protocols. All office hours are by appointment only to assure that the appropriate time is allotted to each patient and to attentively address every patient's individual needs.
Many dog owners admire the unique looks and personalities of purebreds, but also worry about the fate of millions of pets euthanized each year. What many people don't realize is that there are specific breed rescue organizations for almost every breed of dog, placing dogs in need to new homes. If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership.
Veterinary care is crucial and effective for a wide variety of conditions. The following is a partial list of some of the most common. If you do not see your pet's specific condition listed, we encourage you to give us a call so we can personally address your particular concerns.

The most common type of arthritis is osteoarthritis which can be due to wear and tear on joints from over use, aging, injury, or from an unstable joint such as which occurs with a ruptured ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in the knee.Leptospirosis is a serious, life-threatening disease caused by a spiral shaped bacteria.
Over 85% of dogs and cats have some type of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease simply means that the gums and bone that hold the teeth in place are being destroyed by oral bacteria. This preventable disease is the number one diagnosed disease in our pets, yet many animals suffer needlessly. Bloat and gastric torsion is a serious condition and your pet should be rushed to the emergency room if this occurs.
Feline leukemia (FeLV) is a virus that weakens your cat's immune system. Unfortunately, when the immune system does not function properly, your cat may be more likely to develop other diseases, such as cancer and blood disorders. How Cats Contract Feline Leukemia Cats get feline leukemia from other cats.

I love Dr. Wade and her assistants! She is knowledgeable, so kind to my pets, and on top of that, reasonably priced. Sadly, last year, my 17 year old dog was very ill and needed to be euthanized. Dr. Wade was so supportive during the procedure. She laid my old gal on a quilted blanket and let me hold and comfort her, and stay with her, until I was ready to let go. I will continue to bring our pets to her as long as I remain in Philly!

Doctor and staff clearly car about my pet. They take the time to ask all the questions and give me the answers i seek. Very reasonable prices. Also the money is always he last thing. Its like an afterthought. The first concern is the furry ones. Love this place. Dr. Wade is the best.

She takes the time to listen when you're explaining things to her. So glad she is affordable and right in my neighborhood.
