If you have cavities caused due to the accumulation of plaque and tartar, composite resin fillings are the best method of restoring teeth. Many types of materials, including amalgam and gold, are available to make fillings, but composite fillings are a popular choice as they match the color of teeth and look natural.
Amalgam is a combination of metals like silver, tin and copper, and small amounts of zinc, indium, or palladium and has been effectively used for dental fillings for years. A silver amalgam filling is used to repair a tooth affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc., especially in posterior teeth that are more prone to pressure and wear from chewing and biting forces.
Root canal treatment is the best treatment choice if you suffer from oral discomfort or inflammation caused by an inflamed or dying nerve. During the root canal procedure, your endodontist reaches deep into the infected tooth with the assistance of specialized instruments and techniques, extracts inflamed nerves and debris, and closes the canal after adding a filling called gutta-percha.
To remove teeth that are weakened beyond any sort of repair, extractions may be required. In most cases, teeth with very large cavities, root canal inflammation, or injury due to external trauma will have to be removed if all other dental restoration methods fail. Tooth extraction may be necessary if a tooth is seriously affected by a cavity.

First time coming here to a dentist in Yuma and was interested since they have many good ones to choose from and have always gone to the ones in Mexico. Right off the bat the staff didn't give me any kind of greeting and the lady who was working front desk was very rude and unfriendly. Will not be coming here again.

I went to Robert Ogie's office after a series of poor work done by my prior dentist that resulted in me having a tooth extracted. I came to his office after being referred to him and now I can see why. He and his employees are such great people! I take dental hygiene very seriously and so does this office. Melissa does a great job cleaning and is very personable. The entire office staff greets you with a smile. My husband HATES the dentist and I finally convinced him to see Ogie's office after a few years of dental-vacay!! He was pleasantly surprised that they had an entire game plan set for him

At least one or two of the receptionists in this office are rude, lazy, rushed, and uninformed.
My daughter was 1 1/2, I called my insurance to see about getting her into a dentist based on her pediatricians recommendation. They told me Robert Ogie was the only dentist showing in town. I called - the receptionist told me that since my kid was under 5 they couldn't help me. She was very rude, rushed and seemed annoyed that I asked. I called other dentists in town, I visited my insurance website... Road block after road block. We ended up driving out of town. The new office said, "Why didn't they

I am a new Yuma resident and I needed to find a new dentist. Previously I was living in California having visited the same dentist for over 23 years having provided me excellent service. He is a hard act to follow-so to speak. I was a bit nervous about finding another good dentist who I would trust that is experience, providing excellent work and also friendly.
Last week I went to go see Dr. Ogie last week for the first time. His Office staff were very friendly and made sure that my dental insurance included Dr. Ogie, i.e. in-network dentist by calling to be sure.

Dr. Ogie is a wonderful Dentist I give him 5 stars he is the reason I come to his office for dental work. I rated it one star because of his office front desk person who is not very friendly at all. One of his dental assistants don't know her name but has a deep voice. She is not very kid friendly and rude.

I know - kinda weird to yelp about a dentist, but I must say that Dr Ogies office is filled with caring personell. They are very nice, they all treat you with respect and they dont try to sell you stuff.
I really like this dental office... but I'm not trying to fool you, I still hate going to the dentist.
