Cara Kowalski has been practicing massage since 2000. Over the years she has worked with people to alleviate discomfort due to migraine headaches, pregnancy and repetitive movement as well as those with work or sports related injuries and hip or knee replacements. She has also worked extensively with people who have chronic inflammatory diseases like arthritis, fibromyalgia and lupus.
Her massage blends Swedish and deep tissue massage using varying depth of pressure and specific work to fit the needs of each client. She has had extra training in prenatal massage, aromatherapy, myofascial technique and energy work including reiki, craniosacral therapy and healing touch.

Services
Swedish massage involves relaxing, flowing strokes while deep tissue massage is more specific work to tense muscle groups. When put together, the result is a very rejuvenating and therapeutic massage that eases tension, increases circulation and quiets the mind. Prenatal massage is a slightly gentler session than a regular Swedish and deep tissue massage while still paying extra attention to the client's areas of discomfort.
Because I dedicate the scheduled session time plus extra time for setup and cleanup of the massage room for your appointment, I am unable to pursue other means of generating income during that time. Therefore clients who fail to give a 24 hour notice of cancellation of a session will be liable for full payment of the session value.

Cara is wonderful: skilled, a great listener, integrates care across disciplines, and just so warm and pleasant to be around. I started seeing Cara in 2012 for prenatal massage and still see her now. The environment in her studio is pleasant and relaxing, and her prices are very affordable. I highly recommend her!
