Water-jetting technology offers the ability to create high precision, flat objects in a vast array of materials. Using a DXF, 2d file your parts can be cut quickly and accurately. Jared accepted my project to reverse 3D a piece of plastic. The quoted cost was $300 for the CAD plus the additional cost for each piece ordered.
On the day I was to deliver the demo piece, I asked if Jared would be willing to price match a competitor that was charging $50 less for the CAD. As a sign of good faith (and to prove legitimacy) I also relinquished the name of the competitor. After he said no, he abruptly declined the project despite my willingness to still pay his quoted cost.
In an industry saturated with competitors, it’s fair to ask for a price match. It’s equally fair to decline

I came to SF with a California Dream. I called Moddler on a Thursday, left a message, and Jared called me right back. They provided my proof-of-concept model in 1 day!!!! I was looking to have some work prototyped on short notice. My original parts printed through a friend turned out well, but wasn't to high enough resolution. I needed small parts to test motion and engagement, so they needed to be super smooth and durable. Another friend and colleague who had some work done here told me about Moddler, and showed me a prototype he had printed there.
