I did not have a very good experience with this CPA. I came in to talk to them about getting a financial statement for a contractors license and possibly using them for bookkeeping. I spoke with Ryan for 5 minutes after giving his assistant my information. He quoted my over 3x what another CPA charged for the same service. I elected to go with the other CPA and then got a $275 bill for the ‘consultation’
I refused to pay this exorbitant sum for 5 minutes if his time and 20 minutes giving my information to his assistant so he turned it in to collections. I was gouged just for walking in the

I have a few small businesses. I was recommended to Ryan Hood & talked thru the businesses in detail 6 months before the taxes needed to be filed. He quoted me $600-900 for all the intricacies of my taxes. When it came down to it it was almost 4x the quote in charges. He wasn’t really involved from my end, had to schedule over a week in advance… just to ask a question, then was billed $225/hr for an hour for a 6 min discussion. They did make a mistake that they later fixed, yet at first I was billed for the time it took. Ryan did remove those charges after I brought them to light
