I have taken my dog here for a little over a year and a half. Great care. I was never allowed in or the opportunity to meet the vet face to face because of Covid-19. I understood for the longest time. But I went in for a check up last fall and was surprised. I tried walking in the building and no one there was wearing masks.
The receptionist said that I must wait in my car because of the covid mandates. I went to my car, called them, and asked why they weren't wearing masks, yet I have to wait in my car. She said most were vaccinated; like that matters in the eyes of the governor's mandate.

I took my dog in to see Dr. Miller unfortunately I had to stay in the car while they took my dog in who had been not feeling well for a couple of days. After they called me when Dr. Miller did the exam she told me they would have to do blood work and some x-rays i said that was fine. When they got the results back and told me it was low thyroid and gave him some meds for that and said it would take some time for the medications to work. I took my dog home and started the medication after a week he still wasn't getting better so I called they wanted me to bring him back for over night care and IV

I'm new to the area and a friend recommended Dr. Miller. I was not disappointed! She was so thorough and caring with our family dog. He had been vomiting for a couple of days and was becoming lethargic. He was diagnosed with a foreign body in his abdomen and promptly taken in for surgery. He's doing amazing now and back to himself. Dr.Miller and the staff at South grand vet clinic are outstanding!

We saw Dr. Miller. She is really nice and informative. While she did find that my cat had renal disease which I do appreciate because I got another couple of months with him, she never really addressed the issue I originally came in for. This and the following is why I changed my rating from 4 to 3 stars. I once called to see if I could bring another cat to the appointment the reception staff said they never put my other pets name down for the appointment which would explain why I never got a reminder call. They also had food visible at the reception desk which was something that was not allowed

Good prices, caring people. Each time the vet called & spoke to me after the pet visit (covid restrictions) in detail to let me know where it stood with my animal. He did not go to the most expensive treatment right away and was honest about how much my animal really needed or didn't need a procedure.

Dr. Rush performed a cranial cruciate ligament surgery on my 12 year old dog. The price was much better than anticipated. My dog recovered beautifully and the follow up appointment was free. Dr. Rush was kind enough to answer any questions I had and made it clear that he was available for any further questions. I would highly recommend this facility. Even the veterinary techs are gentle and sweet with my old boy.

Moved to the South Hill from out-of-state and needed to find a vet for the cat and dog. Dr. Rush and the staff at the Clinic made us feel like longtime customers from the first visit. The treatment of our pets was compassionate and caring. We feel so fortunate to have found this place so close to home.

Absolutely amazing staff and Vet. Just got two new pups and one of them was sick. At 4:55pm on a FRIDAY (almost closing) they didn't turn me away (like my current almost former vet did). They took me in and checked her out and stayed past closing. The most amazing and caring people. This won my business. My pets are my babies. And the fact that they were kind enough to help me in a moment of panic and were so wonderful. Thank you thank you. My neighbors referred me as they were treated as equally wonderful and this proved it! Keep up the great job.

Unhappily, in my neighborhood many people seem to "dump" animals, mostly cats. Perhaps they see our South Hill Feeder/ Rescue/ Re-home site , and think cats can live in all weathers, on just food. Anyway, last Wednesday, I was writing a letter. My 14-year-old cat,heard "something." I went to my deck, and I thought: "cats" yowling, like they were being murdered.. LOUD! I went out looking, and a black- -and-white-kitty, was up on the bluff, screaming "Help!"

My pup is a 5 month old AKC English Bulldog and she is doing GREAT with South Grand. The staff is all very friendly, the office is nice and clean, and they are great about making appointments when needed. The doctor took his time examining her, listening to my questions(not a short list), letting me know potential issues specific to the breed, things to look out for, things to not worry about. They also had several suggestions for cheaper alternatives when it came to things like face wipes (puppy acne is a pain to treat!), shampoos for dry skin, ear cleaners, etc. We are VERY happy with the care

Dr. Rush & his team at South Grand Vet have been wonderful so far to my very active, ever curious Springer Spaniel. They take very good care of her and always explain everything carefully -- I ask a lot of questions! Dr. Rush is thorough in his approach. This is a kind and caring team that truly seems to love critters.

Brought our dog here for the first time back in October. He needed to update his shot records. Dr. Rush was friendly enough to make my dog more comfortable. He really didn't do much more than that. Felt up my dog for any bumps and growths and 30 mins later we were out of there without an update to the shots. We needed to board him for two nights and had to visit the Dr. again. We needed Bordetella updated. He came in talked to us for a bit and finally gave my dog the shot we needed. We were charged again for a visit of $49 and a shot cost of $17. Why didn't he just give my dog
