To all our patients and parents: Our office have re-opened with new check in and visit protocols in place. We thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding during the 10-week closure and in the months ahead as we transition into our new operating procedures. Providing specialized dentistry for children and adolescents in a "child-friendly" environment.

As pediatric dentists, we focus on preventitive care to help each child grow a healthy smile that will last a lifetime. Serving infants, children and teens in Hayward, CA including the surrounding cities of San Leandro, Castro Valley and Union City, CA.
Services
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

Brought my 4 year old daughter here for her first ever dental visit. She's a hyper kid who has a hard time adjusting to new people and places. The dental office runs on time and the staff is nice enough.

However, there are some things to consider about this office. One, the exam chairs are near each other in one room; I would prefer each child to have a separate room so they can't see each other scream or cry. Two, the appointments are set 15 mins apart from what I can deduce. I felt like the assistant & the dentist was rushing my child, not giving her time to adjust. At one point

We called her Dr. Jacky when she worked in San Jose. She was genuinely engaged with the kids and parents and extremely friendly and professional. She relates to the kids on their level and successfully was able to get my son to be calm, laugh and get over his fears while checking his teeth or doing whatever procedure was needed at the time. We miss seeing her every 6 months and wish her well at her new office.

I would like to recommend this dental clinic to every body, the clinic was very clean and that is very important, specially in this times, the staff was very friendly and profesional, one thing I really really loved is that the staff took the time to make friend with my kids, they were making them laugh and smile all thru out the visit which makes it easier for me to bring them again ( no more struggling 😃) They were very efficient and careful not to hurt my kids. I am very happy that I picked this clinic. Also the prices are great 👍👍👍

Dr Thai is so caring with my kids and gentle while working on their teeth. We have been going here for years. My kids actually enjoy their dental appointments, which is a testament to her work with children. I highly recommend Dr Thai.

I called to schedule an appointment for my 7 year old that has what looks to be a cavity. I selected this office because of the great reviews but felt like I wasn't "qualified" for my daughter to be seen soon because we are new patients. I was told appointments were being booked well into April and I couldn't join the cancellation waitlist because the "system" doesn't allow new patients to be considered, that they have 10+ people waiting on the list that they have to prioritize since they are existing patients. Don't bother calling here, continue looking

I just want to say this is the best pediatric dental office for my kids by far. The assistants and dentists here are so friendly and during covid they kept the place exceptionally clean for their patients to feel at eased. I can email them with emergency questions and the Dr. Thai would get back to me within hours or next day even on her day off. Always there to squeeze in emergency appt for my kids. This is by far the best dental office.

I love this pediatric dentist that's so close to home. The dentist and assistants are all super nice and in tune with kids. My child actually likes going to see doctors and dentists, so that makes it a little easier for us. He is, otherwise, a ball of energy so it's surprising how calm he is.

We went through anesthesia for my then two-and-a-half-year-old for his fillings and it was absolutely nerve wracking. I held off for a while because I didn't want my son to endure this procedure. I felt like such a bad mom for letting my kid get so many cavities, but he's prone.

Anyway

Honestly, this staff is the answer to parents and kids who need extra care! My son and I were both so very nervous about his needed dental treatment. Dr. Thai and staff over exceeded my expectations! Her attention to details that made his visit easier were awesome! The front desk receptionist Katie was kind and calm with me (my anxiety was terrible) even when I didn't deserve it! I can't say enough about this office. I've worked in the dental field for over 20 years and this staff did everything right. Highly recommended!

Please don't waste your time going here they are very unprofessional and rude I went to the window to ask the lady how long it was going to take for them to call my daughter back and she basically dismissed me by saying she didn't know and closed the window in my face just rude to the max

Dr ha is evil, if there is a negative star I will give her infinity negative stars. all she cares is money and money and how much she can make from destroy the kids teeth. She distroyed my sons teeth by doing in necessary filling on my sons teeth. Maybe I should file a law suit on her to withdraw her license. She seems good with kids at first but be aware bc she will make your kids do filling that not necessary. When I came here.... I felt like they tried to make a sale instead of go to the dentist place.... first they did the X-ray and tell my kids that he has cavities between the teeth and show

Dr.Thai is an incredible doctor! I called the office on a Friday before Labor Day weekend. They happened to be closed and she herself had answered the phone while doing paperwork. I made the call in regards to my 18 month olds gums. She woke up with super inflamed gums and in so much pain. Dr.Thai told me you are welcome to bring her in although I have no staff or if easier for you. You can take pictures and email them to me and we can go from there. I was worried because it going to be a long weekend with this concern. I was able to take good pics and she already could tell what the issue was

Who is not scared of the dentist?! I’m an adult and I’ve been seeing a dentist since forever! But it still stresses me out. My daughters, on the other hand, love the dentist and I’m sure it’s because of Dr. Thai. My 3 year old’s first visit started out like you’d expect, she was just not having it when Dr. Thai’s staff tried to clean her teeth. I thought there would be no chance of her getting her teeth cleaned because she was screaming and kicking like a totally normal/crazy toddler. Boy was I wrong. Dr Thai worked her magic and calmed my daughter down by singing children songs all

After rocky start we really had great experience with dr. Thai's office.
I am really amazed by how thorough she is in explaining procedures.
My son needed 4 crowns on baby teeth and it was preformed in total anesthesia.
Both dr. Thai and her staff made sure the whole process run smoothly and that he is comfortable.
All of my concerns were answered and she even followed up via phone this evening to make sure my son is recovering well.
I would definitely recommend dr. Thai.
Thank you for caring for my boy!

I never write reviews for anything, but was blown away by our first visit to Dr. Thai’s office. My son is deathly scared of going to the dentist because we had a bad experience at another office. He’s six years old so he remembers everything from that last office. After lots of bribery, we got him in to see Dr. Thai. Immediately, he felt at ease because he saw other kids playing in the play room. Sure, the play room is a little old and dated, but kids don’t need much. When they took him into the back, he noticed the TV right away and gave me the biggest smile. He knew he was in good hands

Our son has been seeing Dr. Thai for 2.5 years. He absolutely loves going to the dentist. Kids can tell when a person truly loves kids or just endures kids. It shows in Dr. Thai's bed side manners that she absolutely loves kids and the kids pick up on that. Dr. Thai will work to earn your child's trust first. Trust is what makes the difference between a good practice a great practice.

Our son has been seeing Dr Jacky Thai for 3 years, since he was 2. We visit Dr Jacky everything 6 months for check ups and I've never seen a kid so excited to go to the dentist. In fact, prior to the last visit our son asked, "Does Dr Jacky love me?" We asked why the question. His reply, "I want Dr. Jacky to be proud of me."
He genuinely can't wait to go again. There seems to be an internal clock with him because a few weeks before an appointment he'll
ask when is the next appointment. He feels welcomed, and to Dr. J's credit, he feels as though she is genuinely invested in his health - in which

1st visit was great and Dr Thai did an extraction that a different dentist tried but couldn't so I am grateful for that. And Arzu at the front desk is really nice. On the 2nd visit my son was happy as we headed to the "nice" dentist and he knew he needed a filling. Since he never used nitrous before for fillings I told Dr Thai not to use nitrous because I prefer to avoid drugs when possible. It was a mistake because when she started he started to cry and would not cooperate or calm down so we had to leave. He was traumatized from the other dentist (failed extraction). So I was worried and didn
