I enjoy being able to help clients in their journey through life, whether it's working on a mental health issue, self-growth and exploration, parenting, communication problems within a relationship, needing someone to listen and process life's difficulties, or another area. As a counselor I get to be in a unique position where I am able to watch people grow as they make changes in their life.
I am really passionate about helping couples regain their emotional connection, feel loved by their spouse, and restore their marriages. My preferred approach is to use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which studies have shown is highly effective for counseling couples.
I work on helping couples identify the underlying issues that prevent them from feeling close to each other and to begin to feel more connected in their relationships and to be able to safely communicate.Relationships can be difficult and many couples come to me ready to call it quits, experiencing deep emotional pain, or devastated by something that has just happened.

My approach in treating clients depends on the issue the client wants to address in counseling, the age of the client, and the time-frame the client has to address the problem. Because psychotherapy is individualized, I feel it's important for me to meet my clients where they are at in their own healing or exploratory process.
My current rate is $150 per 50-minute session and $200 per 80-minute session with reduced rates potentially available depending on circumstances and openings. Payment is due at each session by credit card, cash, or check. Services for psychotherapy may be covered fully or partially by your health insurance.
