Joe Frizell, owner of Joe's Garage Inc Southampton NY, was born in Toronto, Canada, and moved to Darien, Connecticut at age 10. His hands kept moving in many things, from teaching himself how to play the drums to moonlighting at machine shops. He worked his way through high school at local gas stations and on to the local Mazda dealership, where he worked on the distinctive rotary-engined RX2s and RX3s and raced them as often as possible.

Very professional and courteous; they have done work on our 21 year old Mercedes several times and are fair with pricing and sensitive to the fact that this car does not warrant a huge amount of expense. They explain issues comprehensively and suggest different options for repairs based on affordability and best outcome. They are honest and friendly, and down to earth.

I’m a local. i was overcharged for an oil change once. they charged $110 for a $30 oil change. i recently brought my car in for a new starter. it still doesn’t work properly. i was also over charged by $300. it should have been $600 but they charged me $900. joe’s garage is far too expensive and would not recommend using them.

Joe's garage is one of the very few businesses that really understands what customer service is all about...They are kind, they are responsive, the are professional, yet they take the time to chat with you and are so personal. They are an absolute joy to deal with. Ironically, I have an electric car and don't need to use Joe's Garage very often, but I almost wish I had more reason to, because they are so great to work with. If you're going anywhere other than Joe's Garage, you're missing out on a great experience.

There are more honest and trustworthy mechanics out there
Never have I been left with such a feeling of being taken advantage of
They sneak in charges without telling the customer
Had things done to my car without my consent and then had hundreds of $'s in charges which I contested and some were removed, almost seemed like they were trying to get away with as much as they could and didn't expect anyone to notice but when I did they all too easily removed them, still doesn't make it OK

I was visiting the Southampton area when a battery charging light went on in my Acura RDX. Because my wife was slated to go to JFK airport in the morning I drove to Joe's to have them analyze the problem. I found his shop after doing a quick check online.
A courteous and friendly front desk woman arranged to have the car checked out in under 30 minutes despite having many cars to be worked on. I was offered coffee and water while I waited. The owner was also there and gave me the results assuring me that the battery and alternator were fine. What a relief!

Excellent service, great people. We were interested in buying a used classic car. Called Joe's about doing a thorough inspection before we bought. Leigh was a huge help, everyone was friendly and Zbiegnew walked us through all the positives and negatives he could find in the inspection.
Joe's Garage gave us the piece of mind to buy the car and drive it two hours home.
