My experience with this company was extremely negative. I switched accounting firms at the recommendation of legal counsel. I was with my prior accounting firm for 30 years. I had a large capital gains to deal with and met with John Renner several times for the months leading up to April 15'th.

I've worked with Renner via various nonprofits and they were a mixed bag. Folks were friendly and professional, but not terribly responsive. I was also very concerned that, even being on the board, I didn't get to see the engagement letter or the actual report; details were shared with me by staff. While I get that this is an issue internal to the organization, and not entirely Renner's problem, I am uncomfortable with the fact that the firm does not insist on sending reports directly to non-profit officers, as they have both participated in the audit and serve as fiduciaries.
