Not sure I got much benefit out of using these folks. I was looking for someone to take the effort out of filing taxes, but they did not do that. I expected they were taking care of things like filing an extension, but they didn’t, and the miscommunication cost me considerably in fines. I also had hoped that they would compile expenses for my business and such, but they just asked me to do it so they didn’t serve the need I needed filled. In subsequent years I have just used TurboTax - if I need to tally up expenses myself I didn’t see much point in using them. They did recommend one retirement

I had been doing my own taxes for the last 10+ years and needed to find an accounting firm at a reasonable price as my taxes had gotten quite complicated. I was extremely pleased with the responsiveness and time they spent with me and my wife. Mitch took time to answer all of our questions and Nina helped facilitate the process. The level of service was excellent and we will be using Brandt for years to come!

We filed 2019 taxes with this company. The process was smooth but the professionalism lacks. Our accountant was abrasive and pushy; and we never received an electronic copy of our returns. When I called earlier this year and asked for a copy of 2019 taxes, I received only my federal return. When I called back for a copy of my state taxes, I was told I would be charged $25 and I only had asked for my federal returns. There is nothing worse than gaslighting a customer. I stated that I asked for my returns and was only sent federal. The receptionist proceeded to say she should have charged me anyway

I can say I highly recommend this business for taking care of your business taxes, Benjamin was very patient and well educated on his services to answer my questions. He took the time to explain any details for me to understand and was very responsive from my messages, I loved how they double checked on the process for my taxes to get me more money back, thank you guys!

I had a meeting this week with Ben Jones at Brandt & Associates. Before I walked in the door I had a half dozen questions about how to handle my Mother’s tax return, and I was a bit stressed. By the time I left I was completely at ease and had an answer to every question… and then some. I started using Brandt and Associates when I lived in Virginia. I have since moved overseas but still use them. Even as complicated as taxes can be when moving around, adopting a child, buying/selling property, etc they have always been very professional, thorough, and helpful. My agent has been Ben Jones and he's been great to work with - done a great job every year.

Looking through most of the bad ratings, a common theme emerged. Last minute returns during tax season. They are a small family owned business who WILL take the time to work with you if you have patience yourself and are courteous.

Brandt and Associates are a local business with extreme customer orientation. Our tax preparer had reviewed previous year's returns and explained changes in the new tax laws. Our tax returns were prepared and audited for correctness with a very rapid turnaround. E-filing was simple and our refund was automatically deposited as requested. Perhaps most importantly, our personalized preparer made suggestions for options for consideration. We have used this group for many years and have every intention of using them for many years to come.

Mitch is awesome! He is super efficient, looks to ensure every deduction is found, and offers advice on how to ensure the best refund for the upcoming year. The office staff is fantastic as well. We will continue doing our taxes and financial planning with Brandt!
