I did some searching online and loved what I found. I actually reached out to another wedding photographer in Columbia and told her I was interested in photography, and she asked if I wanted to be an assistant photographer for her at weddings. I was hooked immediately, and after working at about 30 weddings as an assistant, I decided to become a full time wedding photographer in Columbia SC.
Soon after that, my wife and I both quit our part time jobs, and we've been Columbia wedding photographers ever since! I've had so many people ask me what venues are nice, because they just didn't know where to start looking! There are SO many great venues in Columbia, but today I'm going to share 7 of my favorites! I'll show one of my favorite photos from each venue, then link to the Website and Facebook page if possible!
One of the questions I get asked most frequently is "Where should we take our engagement photos in Columbia?" Many of the sessions that I post are on family owned property, or the clients have special permission from a friend to use the location. I always recommend thinking about these options first.

The one thing I wanted on my wedding day was Ablaze photography to shoot my wedding. I found out what days they were available and scheduled my wedding to meet their availability. I was not disappointed. They got every shot I was hoping for. They were extremely professional and personable. My photos turned out gorgeous, classy and timeless. Wonderful, talented photographers!

Corey and Ashley were absolutely amazing to work with! From the beginning, Corey was willing to work with me on budgeting and timing (considering we were a Sunday wedding!). His pictures are beautiful and really captured our personalities, and bring me such joy looking back at them. I even had a few friends reach out to him to be their photographer after seeing our pictures.

While Corey wasn't able to photograph our wedding due to a prior commitment, he took some incredible engagement photos of myself and my husband. It was easy and so much fun to shoot with him and we were amazed by the end results! Honestly, we didn't know we could look that good in pictures :)

I had a wonderful experience with Corey and Ashley from start to finish. They did our engagement photos and were with us from beginning to end on our wedding day! So easy to work with and the photos were absolutely beautiful! We are from out-of-state and all their knowledge helped to make for the perfect photo locations and everything I imagined! Corey is an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful photographer. He mentors other photographers nationally to increase their business knowledge. In addition to his mentoring, his lighting, composition and technical proficiency are obvious in the work he displays. You have to be very careful in selecting a photography to ensure they have the technical know how to make sure your images are PERFECT. Corey has this knowledge. Skip the price comparisons and hire a quality, vetted photographer. If you have the chance to work with him take it. Compare his work to others if you wont take my word for it,

Corey and Ashley Potter are classy, down-to-earth and amazing photographers! They captured moments of our engagement session and wedding day that I cherish so much.
