Poor communication and don’t know how to make someone feel welcomed. Instead, they insult ones sport, making them feel like it’s not a sport and they shouldn’t be there. They said my sport wasn’t useful and it was just a simple thing for little kids. They said karate is just for little kids, it doesn’t teach you self defense, and it’s not an Olympic sport, which means it’s not a sport at all. I felt insulted because I have done this for 9 years. No matter if it’s a sport or not no one should be insulted for doing something they like to do. If I could give zero stars I would.

We quit hb because the owner son didn't know how to work while sparring, went to hard, seen him almost knock/hurt unexperience kids, his son is a amateur fighter with more than 10 fight. Fight team not worth the money, they only pay attention to the kids with amateur books. The classes take forever to start or they finish early, it says Monday - Thursday for training but it's really Monday - Wednesday, Thursday they spar and you lucky if you do, kids Stand around doing nothing on Thursday.

I stumbled into HBB because I joined Class Pass. I have always liked and enjoyed Les Mills Body Combat class which I couldn't find being offered by the gyms in Fresno/Clovis area. HBB facility is clean and does not have the "locker smell". The location is very convenient from 41. It is a familly run business and everyone are hands on from Coach Gilbert, to the wife and the sons. The cardio boxIng and boxing conditioning group classes are for all levels but if it is your first time boxing, highly recommend to have a session with Coach Gilbert to learn the moves and forms. My child WAS with HBB since 2017, and before really seeing people’s true colors it was a great experience. My child loves boxing but after very unprofessional actions by the owner/coach I can no longer support this business. The teens at the gym get high in the back but wait “it’s legal”. For ADULTS NOT MINORS! I was worried about my childs safety as well as the other children’s safety. A 9 year old should not come home talking about weed or wax pens. Training wise, you will spend $100+ for 30 min fight team training. The fight team starts at 7:30 by the time they end their speech it’s

Ever since I moved to central California, this gym has been the best part of my life! Through my ups and downs everybody here especially coach's family has been very supportive the whole year and a half I have been here and they are like family to me!! Coach Gilbert is a great father figure to many of the fighters here and he has really brought out the best in me in and out of the ring!! This place has been my sanctuary and safe place for me! If you are looking for a way to become an excellent fighter and looking for personal growth this gym is your ticket!! Wish I could give this place more

My oldest started at HBB 2 years ago and it's been a great experience. The confidence she shows now is out of this world because of coach Gilbert. Lourdes is the most amazing person she makes sure everyone feels welcomed. After I seen how good it was for my oldest I know have all 3 of my kids (6-10-14) in the gym working!!!! I've even taking a handful of classes and talk about cardio amazing. I've been to gyms all over Fresno and none are as clean and well taken care of as HBB. Gilbert, Lourdes, and valintino which is there son (also amazing coach that the kids look up to) have became

Ive had the worst experience in this gym, this family is all about money and how to squeeze every penny by only giving you the bare minimum. The owner (Gilbert) doesn't know anything about boxing and his classes are poorly executed (does not know anything about fitness at all). If you are a female be careful since he says inappropriate comments and checks out young girls making them feel uncomfortable. Just a heads up.

Cleanest and most beautiful gym I've been to in my life. All the equipment is best quality. Coach Gil is the best in the world when it comes to boxing he makes Champions. So if you want to be a champion this is the place to go. They also offer free self-defense classes for women every Wednesday at 6:30 PM it's the best class in the world for women. Call placed to you also just to hang out and chat with people and to learn about boxing. Can't get enough of this place. Every time I walk through place I feel like Rocky Balboa the song comes on in my head the eye of the tiger and my

This place is awesome! I've displayed art there once, and was impressed with all the work they've put into restoring this gem of a building in historic downtown Fresno. Family owned boxing gym with free self defense classes in honor of the owner's sister, with various types of membership options available. There's even a plan where they provide meals for you, as well as extensive dietary plans. Great atmosphere!
