Cheseldine Tire & Auto
Johnny and Gary Cheseldine of Cheseldine Auto Group have family ties to St. Mary's County dating back to the 1600's. Those bonds to the community are what builds great customer rapport. That's also what sets Cheseldine apart from its competitors. In 2007, the Cheseldines went into the pre-owned vehicle sales business, under the mentor-ship of Lewie Aldridge, local car salesmen and previous owner of Aldridge Ford.

When the Cheseldine Auto Group buys a car, they can service and repair it on-site and clean it thoroughly. Customers can trust that those selling the cars are familiar with them. Rather than being owned by a franchise, whose headquarters are out of state and hard to contact, Cheseldine Auto Group is owned by Gary and Johnny who are at one of the facilities most days.
Services
When strange sounds and vibrations begin to show up in your auto, do you know where to go for assistance for accurate diagnosis and trustworthy service? Do you go to one place for transmission repair, another for oil changes, a third for a brake job, and still others for suspension repairs, replacement batteries, engine repairs, and replacements, and tires?
I just want to say thank you so much to you all for replacing my tire when it went flat at the car wash a couple of weeks ago, especially to Mr. Johnny Cheseldine. This was greatly appreciated and I will always remember it! The staff at Cheseldine are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I'm not sure what else you'd like from a tire & auto place.
Cheseldine Tire and Auto is proud to offer MICHELIN tires to California, MD, Calvert County MD, Charles County MD, and St. Mary's County MD at some of the most affordable prices around. Cheseldine Tire helps customers find the right MICHELIN tires for their car or truck at the right price that fits their budget.
It may seem like a pretty simple task to choose the engine oil that will suit your car. Many individuals think that the engine oils that feature the starburst symbols means that the oil meets up with and has been tested by the API (American Petroleum Institute). However, there are other considerations that include the two character "service designation" such as SL which is the latest standard set out by the API.
Heat is a byproduct of the engine's combustion process. The heat is absorbed by the coolant in your car's radiator. The coolant is then circulated through the heater core before returning to the radiator. The heating system also includes a series of air ducts, a blower motor and fan, and temperature and duct controls, which selct the desired temperature and direct the flow of warm air.

I’m a new driver and have been dreading going to a mechanic because I find most places try to scam women out money. My car started shaking and I was scared something was wrong so my friend recommended this place. I was assured that they would actually help me.
They were better than I could imagine. I don’t know any other place you could take a car in and have them spend a couple of hours checking everything just to find out that there’s nothing wrong with it (probably just me not knowing how to drive honestly) and then not charge you for their time.
I will never go anywhere else. They are

I called to get the price of how much it would be for the labor of getting my brakes done since I have my own parts. Person on the phone puts me on hold then comes back to say his boss said they won’t install customer parts. Although my boyfriend got his brakes done less than a month ago and brought his own parts, which he does EVERY single time he gets ANY work here done at all. Then proceeds to tell me it will be $300 with their parts which is INSANE. They’re not honest people, I wouldn’t recommend coming here for anything more than an oil change, if even that.
Edit: since you replied

I am new to the Southern Maryland area and I work in the Procurement field, so naturally I had to shop around when it came to pricing out 4 new tires for my Mazda 6. As it urns out the 19" all weather performance tires can get pretty expensive. I literally called 6 different places, received pricing, checked coupons, checked warranty and repair info ... and Cheseldine Tire was hands down the best rate and warranty of anyone in the area. I saved several hundred dollars and they were able to order tires and install next day immediately. I have no complaints at all, everyone was so nice and friendly

As a new Maryland resident, I was shopping for the perfect vehicle maintenance location. I hit the jackpot, being a gearhead so very particular to anyone servicing my cars. Had to get my Subaru inspected. The team here are fantastic. Not only do they ensure public safety. They truly are thorough and professional. Will always go back and highly recommend them.

Found a screw in my truck tire today took it into Cheseldine in Leonardtown to have them check it out. All the COVID 19 precautions where in place. Took truck into service bay came out a little while later and said the screw didn’t puncture the tire. Pulled the screw put more air in the tire to be sure no leak. Asked how much he said don’t worry about it. Will continue to take our to Cheseldine for service Great experience as always

As a family on a tight budget and a small child, safety and a reliable car are very important, especially when your car helps you bring in income. After calling around, we called Cheseldine to check their prices for our oil change and tire rotation. They quoted us $20 less than their competition even after the other guys' so called coupons, and that was their normal price. We love the quality of service you guys provide and the peace of mind knowing that we can trust you guys. Thank you so much for all you do!

First I took my car to another shop (hadn't heard of Cheseldine yet) for what I thought was an alignment issue. Well that place called me back and quoted me over $1200 of "front end work" that need to be replaced in my truck. They also said I "desperately" needed new tires. Being a somewhat of a car mechanic I didn't really believe them so I took my truck to Cheseldine by a recommendation from a friend. I told them what I thought was going on and they were happy to take a look. They said they thought that was a lot of work to be done and THEY wanted to take down the price for me. Never have I been
