Dr. Shannon Cunningham graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She is looking forward to working the rest of her career here at the Chittenden Veterinary Clinic!
I am sending this letter to let you know that after 39 wonderful years in practice (36 at the Chittenden Veterinary Clinic) I will be working a much reduced schedule in the future. I have always felt honored and privileged to be a Veterinarian and do the work that I have loved for all of these years.

Dr. Cunningham and her staff are proactive about our dog's health, to the extent that it saved her life. We brought the dog in for a routine teeth cleaning in June, and because Dr. Cunningham does bloodwork before the procedure to make sure everything goes safely, she was able to catch lymphoma at an early stage. She and the staff communicated the issue to me clearly and compassionately, and got me in touch with a veterinary oncologist right away. Thanks to the diligent staff at Chittenden, Pippa is in remission and doing very well.
We first took our dog to Chittenden because it was close to where

The doctors at this clinic are top notch. I've been having them care for my fur babes for about 6 years now and I've never been upset about the care they have provided. They don't try to sell you things you don't need or want. They explain things in a way that makes sense and don't shame you for tough decisions that have to be made. All the staff are very knowledgeable and so sweet with my animals. I recommend them to all my friends who need a new vet. 10/10 recommend!

I really appreciated how quick my visit was. I know there are many people that enjoy long appointments and to talk for hours about their pets, but I happen to work as a nurse in an animal emergency center that doesn’t carry vaccines or prevention. Therefore, I scheduled with a primary care veterinarian for my new pups needs. THEY WERE AWESOME. So caring and attentive and actually listened to what I needed without trying to sell me items I didn’t need nor want. Nicole and Dr Jones were lovely as well as Chelsea , greeting us with so much enthusiasm and kindness. Thank you for being there for

I truly don’t have enough good things to say about this clinic. I had recently gotten my cat from a rescue and couldn’t get into my usual vet until the end of April, but I wanted to get him in sooner as I suspected he had an ear infection. They got me in within the week and were extremely nice and prompt over the phone. My cat’s appointment was at 2pm, but that morning around 9, he had begun vomiting blood. I called immediately and they told me to bring him in ASAP. This was without ever being a client at their office. After dropping him off, I received multiple calls updating me on how he
