Stephanie attended the Whatcom Community College Massage Therapy program from Sept. 2003-Sept. 2004. Shortly after, she opened Chappaz Massage inside Gold's Gym, successfully reaching her goal of being an independant business owner. Her interest in the health and wellness field sparked her love for massage.
Providing quality therapeutic massage to all who need it is her passion and she takes pride in developing an atmosphere of compassion, comfort and trust for her clients. I grew up in the greater Seattle area. I have always been active. I figure skated throughout my youth and currently enjoy hiking, biking and running.

A: Many studies have shown that massage reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol while boosting the feel-good hormones serotonin and dopamine, which may also mean less stress, anxiety and depression.
Researchers at the Group Health Center for Health Studies in Seattle found that massage works better for lower back pain than common treatments like chiropractic therapy and acupuncture; Even though a client may choose to use more than one therapy.Dr. Tiffany Field, PhD, director of the Touch Research Institute at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine, says "Massage also seems to ease distress from migraine, labor pain and even cancer."

She did an amazing job on working out the knots in my neck and shoulders! She paid attention to when it was too hard and I flinched and let up a bit on her pressure. 2 weeks later and I'm feeling a lot better than before our appointment. She also was amazing at answering my questions about the anatomy of what she was doing. I had an absolutely amazing experience and felt really comfortable!

Had my annual massage with Stephanie about a week ago. She is sooo worth driving up from Seattle for.
After coming to see her for several years, I'm always impressed with her warmth, professionalism and willingness to adjust her work to whatever challenges my aging body presents.
Because her rates continue to be so reasonable, I'm always able to treat myself to a full 90 minute massage. Which is how long it takes to work out a year's worth of knotted muscles. Leaving me so relaxed, I practically melt off the massage table!
Can't recommend her enough.

After multiple Chiro adjustments, icing, no exercise and in pain for 3+ months, I finally made an appointment with Stephanie for a deep tissue massage. I could not believe that after ONE visit my sciatic pain went away! Stephanie is so knowledgeable, informative and simply amazing! I'm so thankful to have found her so I can finally return to a pain free life!
