We are all about making Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fun and real for children. Now an international brand, STEM For Kids, is winning accolades in education and entrepreneurial circles. This is our story. Our story started one hot Raleigh summer in 2011. You see, my busy corporate life laced with frequent travel had inspired my rising 1st grade daughter to draw pictures of the family with mom always working.
I was determined to change that! That day, we were using a piece of paper to make a bridge across two paper cups. The first design couldn't even hold one pencil. We kept working on it until they came to a design where that same single piece of paper could now hold 20 pencils and it was still holding strong!

Biomedical engineering, a new emerging field of engineering, deals with the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes. Closing the gap between engineering and life sciences, this is an exciting intersection of two classic industries: health and mechanical engineering.
Our diverse programs showcase fields of engineering that have fueled development over the last few centuries through the industrial revolution, civic infrastructure projects, access to clean water, human flight, reach outside planet Earth and innovations in health sciences. The discoveries and inventions continue to shape our worlds.

We did a camp early in the summer. My son had a great time. We loved being kept updated on what the children were learning throughout the camp week. We ended up doing another camp with them this summer. The new Biomedical engineering camp is super exciting! Instructors make it a lot of fun. I highly recommend this camp. We will be back with our friends to checkout their STEM Saturday classes.

Camps are not as described and they have poor customer service.
I signed my 6th grader up for a camp that was advertised as 4th through 7th grade. When he arrived at camp, my son was paired with rising 2nd and 3rd graders. The camp was also labeled as a level 2 robotics camp. However, it was a very basic intro class. The first hour of class was spent filling out questionnaires - not doing any building or programming. My son was so uncomfortable he did not want to return. At the end of class I explained our concerns and asked to speak with a director/owner. I was told the director did not give
