Our experienced and caring coaches will help you develop skills and strength in movements you do everyday in the real world like squatting, standing up, picking up heavy items, pushing weight overhead, and running after your kids.
We go beyond lifting and working out at Crossfit ABQ with top level programming, nutrition coaching and personal training. Our CrossFit Group classes encompass a warmup, skill/strength work, the workout (or WOD), cool down, and discussion. In our olympic lifting class you will be exposed to accessory lifts, technique drills, power and strength development, and full and partial lifts.

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but have lived in New Mexico for over 30 years. I love spending my free time with my amazing wife Corrie and our 3 boys. We also have a dog, pig, and 16 chickens. For fun, I enjoy working out, playing music, and trying new and "impossible" things! One of the highlights of my week is getting to take a break from all the other things in my life, and just play some music and lead worship.
Here at Cross Fit Albuquerque we believe that not everyone fits into the same mold. Not every workout is optimum for every person. Practice, technique, strength, endurance and training history all play into our need for a more specified training program. We want you to get the most out of each and every workout.
CrossFit Albuquerque offers one day a week, Olympic Weightlifting development class. This class will meets every Sunday at 11am. The class will focus on the development of the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. Don’t tell the city of ABQ, but this gym may just be my favorite part of the city!
I love it - the instructors give me these tiny cues, maybe just one every once in a while, that allows me to focus on that one thing throughout the entire workout. It has made a great difference. For example, yesterday morning, with just watching 1 lift, the coach was able to pinpoint that I do not engage my glutes and hammies very well on the second phase of my pull in the snatch, and he gave me a drill to consider adding to my repertoire. Even just noticing that helped me really try to think about it during

I've been doing CrossFit 8 years and have been to gyms all over the country. Love the CrossFit community everywhere, the camaraderie is some of the best I've found. But I will say CrossFit Albuquerque went above and beyond. I am traveling and was having trouble finding a gym that would host me for the masters qualifiers. Aaron welcomed me, went out of his way to get me set up, and Brandi was an awesome coach and so much fun to work with! I hope to make it back to the area soon so I can join them again.

I needed to do the second CrossFit Open WOD while I was in Albuquerque. So I reached out to CFA to see if I could drop-in for the workout. Within a hour, the awesome new owner, Coach Aaron, replied and let me know I could come in! Whew!!! :)
I used to be a member of CFA while living in ABQ so it was a pleasure to be able to drop in and see how the box was looking these days...I was not disappointed!
Everything was clean, organized with pictures of the members on the walls...which to me means the focus is on the athlete, not just the owner or a specific person.

Lots to love about this gym: friendly environment, dedicated coaches, nice facility..... However, my drop in experience did not meet my expectations. I showed up 15 mins early to my class time and was locked outside (understandable due to Covid). As I get checked in, I was told to start the workout in 5 mins without any warm up or workout briefing. As a CrossFit coach and health care professional, I felt inadequately prepared and unsafe to push myself. I appreciate the hospitality, but please give us enough time to warm up.

Crossfit Albuquerque has changed the way I view exercise and actually made me like working out. I was not athletic at all before coming here. I first came because my husband liked it and I thought I would give it a try. I was super intimidated before going that it would all be muscle-men lifting heavy weights. Boy was I wrong! There are people at all different stages and I paired up with other newer ladies who didn’t have biceps either :) All of the coaches are super helpful and make you feel welcome wherever you’re at. I never felt unsafe and felt comfortable to scale the movement or the weight
