Best Italian restaurant don’t think twice must go!
Not only the food is good but the atmosphere and vibes. Can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I looked up their hours and drove down to arrive a full hour before closing. We were greeted by snarly staff who said unapologetically “We decided to close.” The Andover location’s product has plummeted in the last several months. We won’t spend our post-tax dollars there again.

Went in, first time ever there. We waited 20 minutes for them to even ask if we were helped. Told them no. There were at least 8 empty tables and we were told it would be 20 minutes for a table and 40 more minutes before they would be able to take our order. We were told we could leave they didn't care. No customer service anymore. The people are some of the rudest people I have ever met.

Ordered a Taco Pizza to go. They keep putting less and less lettuce and tomatoes on the pizza. Pretty soon there won’t be any lettuce or tomatos on this pizza. That’s why we order this pizza.

Gets 5 stars for amazing food. Their fried chicken is the best. Loses 4 stars for driving out from the far reaches of the city only to be greeted by a sharpie'd sign that they are 'closed for lunch'. So yeah, don't depend on the hours posted on Google.

Great food at a very good price. Our server Janet was friendly and helped make our meal even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend Poplar.

We came tonight and Miranda was a server. Amazing customer service!! Very impressed.

Food was delicious and definitely worth the price! We got the fried pickles which were out of this world yummy and Reuben and Steak loafers and they were just as amazing! Will be coming back every time we are in town as we are from IL and travel for work quite often! Thanks for giving us a great experience with delicious food!

This was a return trip for me and three friends. The food was great as always and the service was also terrific as usual. Our server was Hollee and she is worth the trip all by herself. Highly recommend the restaurant and the server.

We were traveling thru the area. Googled restaurants and this one seemed to be a good choice. Went in, there was no sign to "wait to be seated", so we sat down and waited. Though several employees saw us, no one acknowledged us. After waiting for quite some time, we got up to leave and found out that we were supposed to order our food at the counter, then sit down. Would not have had any problem with that, had one of the several employees who clearly noticed us, had told us. No sale tonight or any other night.

GREAT food and service. Very friendly and accommodating staff. If you are in the mood for real home cooked food that doesn't cost a fortune, this is your place! Many choices for entrees, everything is always fresh, pizzas are superb, and you must save room for dessert...or take it home like I do. Great family atmosphere and they also have a bar for those who need a little pick up. One of our fave places!!

What a great place to go. Have something for everyone on their menu. Fried chicken is so good. Catfish did not disappoint and the Pizza is some of best deck NY style around.

This place is sooo good and so many options as well. The service and food definitely 10 out of 10!! Plus the prices are really reasonable and you get alot of food. Definitely coming here next week⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything we have tried on the menu has been delicious. Great service also.

We had such a horrible experience. We ordered wing dings and ended up getting naked dry wings. Which were disgusting. Also ordered crinkle cut fries and didn’t get those. The rolls were super hard as well. We… called to get the correct wings and the manager was awful. Very rude, had an attitude, and was disrespectful. They were not willing to do anything to fix the issue. We are from Andover and it’s irritated that now we do not like a restaurant in our small town. Horrible service, disgusting food, poor management.

Great food and reasonable prices! The fried pickles are very good. Good enough that you don't even need the dill dipping sauce.
The 1/2 lb Western burger was very good with just the right balance of BBQ sauce, bacon, and onion rings. The fried were kind of bland but the rest was good. Saved half the burger for later to save room for chocolate cream pie. Definitely worth the calories! Lol
Overall, a good value for the money and very tasty.

Poplar Pizza is simply an institution that pushes the limit of rural Kansas dining to the highest degree. It is a New York restaurant that could compete anywhere in the country with its high quality food and experience. I have been eating at Poplar since they opened and recommend anything on the menu. The steaks, sandwiches, loafers, and wings are at the top of the list. The pizza has a unique New York style flavor that is unique for the area. It is worth the drive if you are within 40 minutes of the restaurant. Give the fried burrito a try if you are feeling spicy, or a charred chicken sub. They

The pizza may be good but never had a chance to eat due to the outright rudeness of the owner. He would not let an older family member who has difficulties with stairs remain at the front (plenty of open tables). He also would not let our large family group move 3 tables so we could eat together. When you have 10 people, one of the main reasons you go out to eat at a restaurant is for everyone to eat together at one table.

The owner continued yelling at all of us so we politely pick up our things and went to another restaurant in Howard. There are 2 other restaurants in Howard I highly recommend

Great place to get a pizza in the Midwest . It is just like New York State pizza. Update March 24th 2014, They just put in new TV's. Makes dinning like being at home.
