Our programs are designed to provide safety as well as advocacy for victims, along with education on how to recognize signs of someone being a victim.
Secure location for adults and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault. Our Safe House provides food, toiletries, and other essentials. Advocates provide help with attaining goals and referrals. We provide veterans, family members and surviving spouses with the opportunity to make connections with peers, get help finding housing and employment, benefits, and other effects of service.

Services
The organization now is known as Family Support Services of Amarillo was founded in 1908 by a group of Amarillo businessmen who were inspired to start the organization (then called Associated Charities) by the suffering men, women, and children they saw who did not have any other resources for assistance or healing.
1908- a group of businessmen met in the old Amarillo City Hall to form the city's first charity, which was called the Associated Charities. It was later called the United Charities and later, the Social Welfare Association. 1949- Travelers Aid Society and Social Welfare merged to form the Family Service of Amarillo.
At Family Support Services, our vision is "a community where individuals and families are healthy, stable, and violence-free.". We offer many programs to achieve this vision in Amarillo, Canyon and across the Texas Panhandle. Financial assistance available based on eligibility.
