Went to get a sticker today and out of all the places I have gone in 40 years I found this place to be the best. The guy who did the sticker was friendly and I actually tipped him $5 for the way he treated me. I called ahead for an inspection and the person who answered was polite and helpful. They don't do appointments but they have a very fast, smooth system. I was very impressed. The only caveat is that the front office doesn't wear masks inside. However, the guy who appeared to be in charge of my inspection took my payment himself, and was very kind about it. The speed alone is worth 5 stars.

Went here with a recommendations from a couple coworkers for my first in city oil change and inspection on my Rav4. Was able to make an appointment for the next day easily. Friendly customer service and got my car right in and out! Great prices as well and were upfront with them and credit fees when I asked. They didn't mention the oil filter was included in the price they gave for the oil change or ask if I wanted it replaced but for the price I was very pleased it was, so color me surprised but in a good way. They did turn on some features of my car that I wish they had turned back off after

Had a great experience at Ell-Bern. I was having some car issues that were addressed promptly. The staff constantly communicated with me throughout the process. I asked if they could do an oil change and tire rotation on top of the repair and they did it no problem! Very reasonably priced.

This business is absolutely amazing! Everyone that works there is so nice and goes above and beyond to help their customers. They are fast and efficient and so kind. I’ve never had such a great experience at a car place! This one was amazing (best auto place experience I’ve ever had had). It’s the only place to use in Boston in my opinion (especially if you are a young attractive women & men are usually predatory toward you at auto shops). These men are in incredibly nice and professional at all times. 1000/10 recommend. No where else anyone should go for car work in Boston except here. Exceptional

I had come here for a vehicle inspection previously and everyone was extremely polite and professional. I am new to the area and a couple people recommended this place. Came back when I heard some noises coming from my car. Once again everyone I dealt with was extremely nice and they were very honest. I dropped off my car and they were able to get back to very promptly. I will definitely be coming back for future car issues or maintenance. Highly recommend.

This shop stinks. I had them install a front end suspension and then do an alignment to my car. When I drove it for a few days the car was making a clunking sound again. I took it back and they said it was the inner and outer tie rods. I said that's odd as you guys installed that on the car.
Then the guy said it was the both inner tie rods. So I got a replacement set and they installed them and when I take the car home it's still makes a clunking sound. I CALLED THEM AND COMPLAINED the guy said it must be something else. Like really?
Do your self a favor and avoid this place when ever

Don't think this place is warranted the 3 stars, too many entitled people nowadays who feel like their time is more valuable than others.
I was coming in from NJ with a random emergency and called ahead of time, they were able to fit me in. Got me checked out the next day, didn't try to upsell me any parts I didn't need and were honest. What more do you want from a small business? Cheers and good luck with everything and thanks for being there when I needed it.

Went there for my car's annual inspection. No one was wearing masks, It was crowded and disorganized, with lots of cars waiting, and the owner kept changing the line-up of who is next based on how he wanted. The owner kept yelling at everyone. I left and got great service at a different service company where everyone was wearing a mask and being respectful.

It's always nerve-wracking to find a new mechanic when you move to a new city. Ell-Bern was recommended to me, and I am so happy it was. Haydar is always friendly, honest, and tries to make sure he saves you a few bucks. I've gone to him for tires and brakes, and recently to fix my trunk, which wasn't opening. He could have ordered an expensive part to fix it, instead, he found it a challenge and was able to come up with a solution without ordering the part. I was motivated to try a private garage and was impressed with what appeared to be good technical experience in the initial discussion with Haydar. Based on this we scheduled the service and I provided a clear list of work I wanted attended to. I arrived on the scheduled day and time and no record of the scheduled service or the work list was found. When I called back later to understand what went wrong I mentioned that since I was a new customer with no other frame of reference that I was concerned about the organization at their shop and was told "they do not need customers like me"

Replace VS. Repair. Seems like every shop now a days wants to replace, but not actually fix anything. Not these guys. Had an issue with my fuel pump. Rather than just replace the whole thing, they took the time to find the loose connection and repair it.
My bill was 1/3 what the deal would have been.
Now if your looking for phone pleasantries, go pay the extra at the dealer for a service manger..if you want your car repaired with guys who care about their work..and won't over charge you, try here.

Today, I went to get my inspection sticker done at this auto place and the workers there were really nice and helpful and at some point realized I had issues in-regards to my registration, once I got that done...the guys at the shop were amazing! Really recommend this place, the owner is professional as well as the workers and they go out there way...not like other shops that are nasty and try to rob you because your a women...thanks for your help ELL-Bern!!!

Haydar Ali is by far one of the best mechanics I've had work on my car. I drive a BMW 535 and have always been selective about who works it. Since I started bringing it here for maintenance, from tires and brakes to everything, I've been nothing short of completely satisfied. Don't think twice about bringing your car to Haydar.

I downloaded the Yelp app just so I could give this company a poor rating- my experience was that bad and they were that mean.
I don't think I've ever been treated with such disrespect from a company. They had a terrible system for their inspection in which multiple people who were in line for more than an hour were cut by a newcomer and as a result, we were unable to get our car inspected before day's end, despite the fact that we were reassured multiple times that we would be serviced.
The very least I hoped for was an apology after their employee repeatedly blamed the whole

Haydar Ali (the owner of this place) bought this place several years back and is the most hard-working, genuine, and honest mechanic I have seen in my past nine years of living in Boston.
I noticed that my car was shaking and made an awfully loud noise. Well, at 5:00 PM on a weekday I gave them a call desperate to find out that my exhaust was falling off and then I had a very important event weekend ahead of me.
He took my concern very serious went above and be on it drove to get the parts after closing time returned back to his shop to fix my car in no time fast forwarding I had my car within

I have been coming here for my state inspection for years. It's the closest to my apartment and it's just fine. Agreed, the waiting room leaves much to be desired but the process is usually quick and I just bring a book or something to watch on my iPad.
