Services
Pet Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Tyler, TX area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Homayoun Shams, who is a licensed, experienced Tyler veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Yearly wellness exam is an important practice to keep your pets healthy and happy. Annual visit to our clinic for having core vaccines and annual tests saves you unnecessary costs on preventable diseases. Spaying or neutering your pets keeps them happy and healthy. Full pre-operation blood work is carried out prior to surgeries.
Many pet owners do not realize that their pets can also have allergies. If you notice your pet is always itchy or irritated, they might be suffering from an allergy. You can bring in your pet to Pet Veterinary Clinic, located in Tyler, TX. Our clinic is led by Dr. H. Shams, DVM, Ph. D., who has over two decades of experience as a veterinarian.
Research has shown that pets help us to stay healthy and happy. But a pet infested with fleas is not happy. Not only are flea infestations uncomfortable, but they are also dangerous, as fleas are known to carry several diseases. Fleas may also leap from your pet's coat and begin infesting your house.
The Pet Veterinary Clinic in Tyler, TX, is one of the leading veterinary practices in East Texas. We can take care of all the veterinary needs your pet may have. We often see pets that have problems with parasites like fleas and heartworm, so our staff members have a great deal of experience treating pets with such conditions.

Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. The vet was very informative on everything needed for the stray cat we found. The only thing Dr. Sham wasn't good at was telling me the prices as we went. I was only told the price of the initial exam and the two shots (first round of shots) which was around $70-$75 and went to the counter to find out it was a whopping $200. Everything included in the breakdown of the bill the cat needed which I understand. However he phrased everything like that was the only option. When I went back to return the $40 flea medicine because I could get it somewhere

My dog is a bit of a psycho when groomed so she always has to be sedated. Bethany the groomer did a great job on her and was very loving and patient with Maggie. We will definitely be going back!!

He saved my dogs life. Literally!! My dog, Lexus, had a tumor that had grown to the point it was blocking her from eliminating waste. When I brought her in, Dr. Shams, was so professional and caring. He removed the tumor which was almost a 1lb in a 10lb dog. She has thrived and is a completely new dog now. I'm beyond impressed with his care and dedication. After using several different vets over the years I would highly recommend Dr. Shams over any other!!!
If your fur baby is important to you. He is the one to see!

I had the worst experience having my dog neutered. Avoid Dr. H. Shams, he lied about the price to do the procedure and overcharged me. I offered to send him the phone recording but of course he declined it. I supplied a recent copy of the blood work needed to perform the surgery from my other Vet and he agreed to use it but charged me for one he supposedly took but didn't offer the test results. This Vet is an Iranian with a really bad (fake) English accent and I can only assume they do business different over there. I'm filing a formal complaint with the Texas State Veterinary Board

I brought both of my dogs here for an office visit and grooming. Dr. Shams was not only knowledgeable, he was also very approachable and easily built a rapport with both of my dogs (one of which is normally very skittish). After their office visit, I left the dogs with the groomer. When I came back the dogs were clean, and their nails were trimmed well. No more click-clacking on my wood floor! Overall, I was very pleased with all of the levels of service I received, and I will definitely bring my dogs back again.
