Dr. Wade McLeod opened the first veterinary clinic in Round Rock, Texas over 47 years ago, which would come to be known as McLeod Animal Clinic. McLeod Animal Clinic was beloved for its kind, quality, yet budget friendly services it provided to its community for nearly a half century. After years of caring for Round Rock's pets, Dr. McLeod bid farewell as he made his way into retirement.
We offer knowledgeable, yet hassle-free services! Going to the vet can be cumbersome, which is why we go above and beyond to provide you with all the information necessary to keep your pet as healthy as possible. We respect that you know your pets better than anyone, and promise to always tailor treatment to both your pet's needs as well as your own.

Dogwood offers affordable vet care, but they are definitely more of animal-people, not people-people and I wish there was a balance.
The last time I called, a technician answered. I didn't know it was a technician until after I spoke with a manager, but anyway I called to ask when the last time my dog was seen because I couldn't find the email receipt and I wanted to get a quote. She was rude and short and ended up contradicting herself over the phone. I ended up speaking with a manager, who made me feel much better at first--but then switched and made it seem like it was my fault. She

I do really enjoy Dogwood! The doctor is so sweet and nice.
They aren't perfect but are definitely willing to fix it if something happens. And it was a minor issue. I thought that didn't exist anymore. Most places seem to blame you when they screw up. Like the guy turning into my lane without looking and screaming and flipping me off for minding my own business in my own lane. That's how it's been feeling at most companies lately.
Anyway, I feel safer bringing my babies here than elsewhere. I feel listened to here. They also are big picture people. This was the fourth place I had taken my cat

The staff here is outstanding. My dog was having health issues but our vet was shut down for repairs. Dogwood got us in quickly and treated us like family even though we had never been there. They took amazing care of her, communicated with me and helped me make informed decisions about surgery. They will definitely be the vet clinic I trust with my dogs from here on!

They did so good with my husky, Luke yesterday, even though he had his husky behavior turned onto 100. And they even remembered treating my sweet German shepherd last year when she had cancer before she passed. They are really good people and just really great with animals. I'll always use this vet.

I woke up and found my dog was bleeding from a wound on his side. I called Dogwood and they asked me to come in and they would fit us in. The entire staff was friendly and caring. They took care of my sweet pup and answered all of my questions. I was so worried and they quickly put me at ease. I cannot saw enough good things about them. I just found my forever vet.

These doctors were so nice. I am new to Texas and everyone I asked said this was the best vet. I had to put down my 16 1/2 year old maltese shitzu mix dog. She was my first dog and I didn't know if it was time to do so. The doctor came in and had read all of the records from my old vet. She confirmed what I was thinking . She told me what was wrong with my dog in regards to old age and really helped me to learn why it was best to put her down as I was thinking. We just love this place! We've only started seeing Dogwood since Covid started, but they're just wonderful. They're always so kind and caring when we drop our puppers off, and the pups don't seem to mind the staff either. They're super fast and thorough, and they're very reasonably priced. Our most recent visit ended with some temporary meds for one of our dogs, and a recommendation for a thorough dental cleaning and a couple tooth pulls. Highly recommend! Your fur babies will be well cared for by Lindsey and her entire team. They're only offering curbside pickups. A team member will come out to your vehicle to take your dog inside to see the doctor. The doctor will meet you at your vehicle to discuss diagnosis. Prices are reasonable considering the treatment you and your animals receive :)

Really love this place! My sweet 9 month labby Bane is a patient here. Each time I've gone I've received such great service. Mark and Royale are the two I've seen the past few times I've taken Bane. Both are super nice, patient and so good with Bane! Dr. Riddick is so personable, friendly, and never makes you feel rushed/naive when you have your list of questions. The pull up service runs very smoothly. Overall, highly recommend!

I was a long time client of Dr McLeod and have used this clinic. Yesterday I had a 10 week old puppy who is half the size of her siblings suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. I called this clinic and was offered the next available appointment Friday. I tried to explain that if my puppy was not treated she would not live to Friday. No one cared. I got lip service, don't walk in we are already booked up today bla bla bla. This is the second time I've been to this clinic and I couldn't be more pleased! In fact, I've switched from my vet of 20 years to these doctors. Even with the covid thing going on, which has GOT to be more difficult and time consuming for them, the doctors and staff still come out to your vehicle with smiles on their faces (even in the icy weather), they are super friendly, prompt, and take their time with you to explain things in detail. This is a great dog clinic!! I had my puppy come down with what I thought was kennel cough and she was coughing up a storm in the morning when we woke up. We got worried and wanted to take her to the vet. We called several places to see if they could fit in a spot for her and no one could fit her in without, a like week, wait time for her. This clinic took her in within a couple hours and they were so great with her! All the staff have masks and are doing curb side service at the moment. The vet even came out personally to tell us everything was good and that he'll be sending her home in good

We saw Dr McCleod for years. I've been hesitant to reach out to the new owners of the clinic. Today, we took our elderly pup in because of concerns. We had to make some tough decisions. Dr Ray and the entire clinic staff where very thoughtful and supportive. These decisions are never easy. Especially during these Covid times. I am thankful for Dogwood's gentle hand as we escorted our sweet Reba across the Rainbow Bridge.

Very professional and takes the safety of pet owners very seriously. We were greeted quickly and someone came out with a mask to take our dogs one at a time. After both had been seen, Dr Hodges came to the car (also with a mask on) to explain care for both dogs and recommended future treatment. She didn't seem to be rushed at all and answered all of my gazillion questions as a rather "newish" dog owner. I couldn't have asked for better care for our two dogs.
Seems like this is our "vet for life!"

They are great with our family pup, Nala. The first visit was flawless and they gained our trust when we brought her back for her next round of shots. Although by the 2nd visit Nala was NOT happy and I LOVED that one of the nurses was just so friendly and instructed me how to deliver my pup to her and how she held her with confidence but being wary.

We have 5 shitzus and love Dr. Lindsey. She takes her time with you, the staff is professional and the office remodeling is very comfortable. We have two of our 5 that have ear and skin issues. We have not had any

Dr. Lindsey's love of animals comes through, her excellent care is so appreciated. Prices are also very reasonable too. We highly recommend Dogwood Animal Clinic.
