Micaela was born in Cuba. As a child, she came to the United States as a refugee in 1970 on the Freedom Flights, which was the largest airborne refugee operation in American history. She was raised in Hudson County. She graduated from Drew University with a degree in political science. She received her J.D. from the Ohio State College of Law.

I wish I could give them zero stars but I will start here. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CASE, THERE ARE FAR BETTER IMMIGRATION LAWYERS IN NORTH NJ. The paralegals she has working the cases (because I really doubt she looks at them herself) made so many mistakes in my U-VIsa Application and my mother's derivative status. Because of their countless and unprofessional errors my mother has to go to immigration court in November for a removal hearing.Those paralegals never last two, my mother had about 3 different people who worked on her case and never knew what the previous person was doing.
