Personal toiletries (we can also provide you with a toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash and razors at no extra charge). A list of medications you're taking at home and your pharmacy's phone number (please leave any medications at home since we'll provide them for you). What jerks my mom is barely buried and the idiots are asking for payment. Only one there that had any respect for family or patients was the social worker and maybe a few of the floor staff. And no compassion what's so ever, when my mother passed away, they called to tell us and then hour later asking tersely when we going to pick up the body. Seriously, processing my mom's death and to act so disrespectful. These people are the ones that should be helping the family members through the process. Jerks!

The employees are very professional, hardworking and well dedicated to their jobs. It is so overwhelming to see residents who get better after their therapy and from the care given by the nursing team and other departments. Aside from that it is good to work and be a resident in Harmony because this facility is very clean, with wide surrounding with wide parking and accessible to transportation.

A great place to work because its clean and staff are hardworking and dedicated. I've been working here for more than 20 years and for me this is my second home. I love my job, the resident that I am helping leave a part in my heart. I consider them as part of my family. Listening to them of how grateful they are of my help and seeing them get well is very rewarding. I am proud to be a part of an accommodating and comforting team.

This place was very awful, my mom was there for almost a month. Although there are a few people that were so kind and the physical therapy team were amazing. I had several complaints about the CNA, they were very rough and rude. I have complained to the head nurses and also the mangers about rude attitudes and very harsh care with my mother. One instance consisted of them pushing her forward while she was sitting up in her bed, causing her to feel like she was suffocating. Another instance was when i was questioning one of the nurses on how they keep track of medications and how they make sure

My mother was a rehab patient. While in the care of this facility she was robbed twice by employee staff. First time it was the cash in her purse- $300 and the second time it was of her checkbook and entire wallet & Identity . To date Several thousands of dollars have been taken from her accounts. Every form of ID we are now working to get replaced. The Social Worker called me and informed me of my mothers release date and that my mother was charged 'a lot of money' for a wheelchair that she was to take when she left but upon discharge they wouldn't allow her to leave with the

I am not happy about the workers in this place and the residents can tell you the same thing .I come a few times a month and every time there's someone I end up helping because no one bothers to come around and check on them. For example, the bathroom door was in the way of a poor lady's wheelchair and it seemed like she was stuck there for a long time trying to set herself free. When she saw me she begged me to help her and to wheel her to her bed. She started getting on the bed by herself and I told her no you have to wait for your nurse!!! She said they won't come and sure enough I asked for

After a week or so in a North Side hospital our mother decided to do her acute rehab at Harmony since it was close to where many of us live and thus more convenient for us to visit. Big mistake. In our opinion she received sub-standard, even irresponsible, care at Harmony. There were consistent difficulties reaching her room through the phone. She would report that it sometimes took two hours for a nurse or staff member to respond to her call button. When we took her from Harmony to her doctor's office she was not only dehydrated

A family friend of mine was recently admitted to Harmony Healthcare & Rehabilitation for a hip fracture. She was unable to move when she arrived and we are so impressed with how far she has come since she was admitted. The administrative team is great and extremely accommodating. They made sure my family friend was comfortable at all times. The therapy team is excellent!!! We are so pleased with the results and would recommend coming here for physical therapy. I worked here through Agency and they are always short staffed. They do not have good communication skills at all. I worked overnight once & I asked the nurses to give me a walk through of my set and they looked at me like I was crazy. They make sure the 3flr has enough CNA, the 2nd & the 4th flr are always short staff of CNA’s. The only issue is short of CNA’s & the communication skills some nurses have. This is a nice facility and they treat there patients good and with respect. No foul smelling odor in the hallways like some of the other facilities I’ve worked at.

They are always short staff, rarely bathe the patients, patient lie in their waste for a long time before they are changed. They handle patients roughly. The staff steal patients wallets and belongings. Many staff personnel are not paid much and they have a lot of work to do. They have a high turn over rate with staff. Most of the staff don’t care about the patients. Many staff personnel talk unprofessionally to patients. The staff does not introduce themselves to patients before providing service. They don’t sufficiently provide rehabilitation. The staff is not honest! Very poorly ran facility

Please do NOT put your loved one in this facility! Don't let the nice pictures on their website fool you! There are a few members of the staff that are great (including the social worker and a couple of nurses) but, not enough of the them. The receptionists are awesome on the first floor at the main entrance. The rest of the staff are either burned out or don't like their jobs it seems. They are short staffed, which means high turnover, because they had to bring in agency contractors. My brother was in and out of there for 3 months before he passed away, and it was awful. Please learn from my mistake. Don't let the good looks fool you. I'll stick to the facts about my grandmother's acute rehab stay here, even though I have a lot more to say about this place. She was dropped twice (all 85 pounds of her) during transfers from wheelchair to bed, both requiring emergency room visits and stitches. Another time I had to twist their arm to send her to the emergency room because they insisted she was fine, and it turned out she had had a stroke.
