At Ahtna Construction safety is a core value and we clearly communicate safe work expectations that are in alignment with and promote our Safety culture to protect our people, the public and TAPS property. In this spirit, we also promote and encourage an Open Work Environment for all employees so there is a free and transparent exchange of issues and concerns regarding Safety without the fear of retribution of any kind.
In 2013 Ahtna Construction was awarded 2 portions of the X513 Mainline Integrity Investigations Project - Release A (fall work) and Release C (summer Work). Several of the excavations were located on steep slopes PLMP 783.61 - 46% grade and PLMP 756.74. 50% grade that required special consideration and planning to complete the job safely.
Ahtna Construction offers employment opportunities to Ahtna Shareholders and other candidates who have the drive to fulfill the vision and mission of our company. Typically we are looking to fill Craft Positions (Laborers, Operators, Teamsters, Electricians, etc.), Health Safety and Environmental Specialists, Administrative Assistants, and other staff positions as needed.
