Anchor Real Estate is a small family owned and operated business. The business was started by John and Rhonda Hopkins in 2002. Their daughter Sjon soon joined the group. John Hopkins has since retired and Sjon is now the Qualifying Broker for Anchor Real Estate, LLC. Not only do Rhonda and Sjon run the business on the Island, they are Island residents as well and are very active in the community.

Over that last week my family stayed in their surf club A23 apartment; let’s just say we won’t be back. The washer and the dishwasher were both broke upon arrival. We called and emailed about the washing machine a minimum of 5x. They didn’t understand why it was such a big deal. It was never fixed. There was also no broom or working vacuum so we couldn’t sweep the sand that was tracked in up. Their was a little dust pan and hand broom to go with it so when we tried to sweep we were literally on our hands and knees. That’s was a great time. The only bathtub in the house didn’t drain

I had rented a house for our annual family vacation with this company and I would not recommend them. I would never use this company again. The appliances in the home did not work, we found mouse droppings in kitchen drawers and under sink, no sweeper, no broom, bathtub did not drain, batteries in remote control for TV did not work. When we called to address the issues we were treated very rudely. My husband and I even went into the office and I have never been treated with such disrespect at a business. I would never have them manage my property, such a disappointment.

Recently rented a unit on the island, and while we did have issues with the HoA, Rhonda really stepped up to help us out. I appreciated her helpfulness in resolving a few issues we had, and everything was done promptly and in a professional manner. Not sure why there are other negative reviews, I for sure will be checking with her before renting on the island again. Thank you!

We rented through this property management company and will never do so again. They are rude. The house we rented, was a 4 bedroom 3 bath house that slept 10 people. The upstairs, main house was clean. This was its only positive. This was a beach house so it was built on pilings. There were three bedrooms in the main house upstairs, and a room that was added downstairs under the house.
The 4th bedroom, downstairs, was musty and stale. The sofa bed had no sheets and there were bugs and crumbs inside of it. Within minutes of walking in, we were coughing. It was not livable.

We were very satisfied with the condo we rented this weekend. It was just the right size and just far enough out that it was very peaceful. There was a little confusion to start. They were kind enough to leave the key at the rental since we were arriving after midnight, however, they neglected to tell us the rental's address. Fortunately, my wife was able to locate it on her phone. Additionally, they had WiFi, but since they forgot to leave the check-in sheet in our rental we did not know about it until we checked out.
