Good Grief are All restaurants around here excellent? Ok Mussels PLUS with a spicy red sauce CRAZY GOOD! Paired with an Italian Pinot Grigio, about died... Soooo good!

My husband and I had a small gathering on 1/2/22 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary and we and our guests loved the food, the ambiance of the private space and the impeccable service. Would give them more stars if I could. Claudia worked with us to provide the perfect event and our server Danielle was incredible. thank you Faradays

Quite literally the best French Onion Soup around. If you're ever in Smithtown you MUST try! They also have large freshly made salted pretzels that are amazing.

I guess it's just not my type of place. My daughter got a cheeseburger kids meal (I did t try the burger) but the fries had a crazy amount of salt on them. French onion soup and shepherds pie were ok. The veggies in the pie were underdone. Wife got the short rib risotto which was in fact delicious or this would have been a 1 star review. There definitely could have been more risotto though. Overall the place is overpriced for the food we were served. Enter at your own risk and bring some blood pressure medication if you're going to give your kids any French fries.

Small,cozy bar and restaurant. Service friendly and efficient. November menu is wonderful. A very good spaghetti squash and delicious pork chops. Msy be back in November just to have it again.

Everything is good on the menu never had a bad meal staff extremely friendly and owners always present and care!!

They have a deceitful pricing policy, we found out tonight. They ADD a credit card surcharge to your bill, which you only find out about when you get your bill, if you review it carefully. So, if you order from the menu, and then pay with a credit card, you pay MORE THAN THE MENU PRICE; a SURCHARGE. I mentioned it to the manager, that I thought it… was disingenuous, and was treated to a condescending lecture about how I do not understand cash discounts. Restaurant has prix fixe menu advertised on web site.However you are not given this menu when seated.
We arrived at 3:45pm and when we asked about the prix fixe menu we were told that it is only available for dinner starting at 4:30pm.
When the bill arrived, prices for several items did not match prices on the menu given to us.
When we pointed this out to our server, we were told that the wrong menu was given to us by mistake, the prices on the new menus went up.
The server also adjusted the bill to correct some items.The bill still did not agree with our given menu prices. The server left and

Visit today was very disappointing. Server was excellent. Food was mediocre: tough wings, bready baked clams, tasty soup. Main problem came when we were given the check. What we were charged did not match menu prices. Three out of five items were overcharged. Brought it to the attention of our waitress who said their were two versions of the same menu: new and old. Manager(?) then came out. No apology, just excuses: "New vs old, can't be corrected easily, that's the way things are these days". Also note, prix fixe is not available till after 4:30 which is not noted on website. We won't be back

Our first time here. The food was excellent! My favorite restaurant so far. A nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Loved dining outside. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Been here several times for lunch and it always strikes me as a hidden gem in Smithtown. Sat at the bar for the first time today and that was a very pleasant experience. The food is always tasty and the place just has a good vibe.

From the reviews and pictures I thought this place would be a lot more inviting. Walking in is very dark and no hostess or even bartender to let us know where to sit or anything, kind of awkward. Most people at the bar just stare at you if you don't look like a 50-year old regular... it was just off putting. Stayed for one drink (meh) and left. Probably won't come back or recommend.

The appetizer's I ordered wasn't appealing to say the least. We ordered the potpourri , and the French onion soup.
Soup was flavorless, and the potpourri which is a sampler was burnt , the wings looked like they came off a thank you pigeon , the dipping sauces must of came out of a Kraft or bargain brand bottle . For me it's a never again . For other good luck .

First time visitor to Long Island, and I really lucked out finding this place. Food was wonderful (Hennessy Chicken!) and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and service. Will definitely return.

First time at this restaurant and will definitely return. Loved the outdoor patio. Enjoyed the pre-fix 3 course dinner with a glass of wine [$21.95 - best deal around]. Saylor, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. Loved that they had a bottle of sanitizer on every table.

Food was good but an ice bucket for the bottle of white wine we bought would have been nice. Most places will do this automatically as is the norm when a bottle is purchased but not here. Manager/owner walked around to ask other customers how everything was but never made it over to our table.

My experience at faraday was a total disaster. I had invited my children and six grandchildren to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a reservation for seven o’clock. When we got there we were seated and waited at least twenty minutes for some one to take our drink order and waited again for drinks to be brought to us. We then order appetizers and waited again before our dinner order was taken several time we asked for additional water or napkins. No one really came to ask if everything was ok. Watermelon margarita was terrible and sent it back food was not the best. I would never recommend

Don't waste your time,Don't waste your money,Don't waste your taste buds!! FROZEN AND I DON'T mean the movie! When it started off wrong ,I should have saw it as things to come! A guy across from us phone starts to ring loud & he not answering it just looking towards it in his girlfriend 's pocketbook! Then he finally gets it & starts watching a baseball game on it loud! I had to ask him to lower it & threaten to leave! Then only to realize later he is affiliated with the restaurant or mgr. or owner! Waited quite along time for the food I ordered

I just had the best Buffalo wings I've ever had in a restaurant and the Panzanella was also great. The staff and the owner are very friendly. I felt safe eating here they had hand sanitizer on my table and I saw them cleaning the menus. I will return and I highly recommend this place.

Such a cute restaurant. They have these cottages that are perfect for privacy and if your are concerned about covid. I also notice every table had hand sanitizer available for customers. Came here twice in one week with different groups of people. The salmon was perfect! The sweet potato mash that comes with it is so good! The french onion soup was good! Not salty at all. Hubbys burger was a little overcooked in his opinion. The service was okay. There seems to be like two staff members running around taking care of the tables. WOW-- what an amazing experience!!!!!! My husband and I came here for our anniversary. I am immunocompromised so going places during covid time has been difficult and scary. Not here!!! We reserved a hut. They have a few greenhouse type private huts that are outside and can be reserved for a safe dining experience. The comfort that I felt in the sanitized hut was amazing. Our waitress jennifer was amazing. The food was delicious. We got burgers and they were so good. For dessert we got the smores dish which was out if this world! Extremely off put by our experience here today. We had a reservation and were really excited to dine here since we just bought a home locally and I had been there once a while ago and remember the food being good. We were seated right next to the door and the hostess stand. So the hostess stand faced our table, the hostesses could look directly at us. We heard the phone ringing and all the convos. We were also put off because the hostess stand was definitely NOT 6 feet away from us. We politely asked one of the hostesses if we could move tables, she said she would check. First time to Faradays and definitely won't be my last! We chose to eat outside in one of their little heated houses for the novelty even though the inside was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The shepherds pie and chicken pot pie were a hit. The French onion soup was excellent as well! Service was friendly and attentive! Can't wait to go back!

Food was good but manager moved us to accommodate another table after we were seated..thought that was very unprofessional..one seat had two heaters , other just one. Food took really long and just ordered burger.

I went around 4 pm on Sunday.Watermelon margarita is fantastic!
Our waitress,Jen was attentive and warm friendly like we were regulars.
Great food,relaxing atmosphere.Oh and great tunes!!

The absolute best French dip sandwich! The hamburgers and coleslaw are also amazing. They offer three course menu for $19 pp and also host pasta Tuesday. I would say the only downfall is service.

We had lunch during the week day on the summer. It was empty. The server was very sweet. The food was standard pub food. Will be back to try some other food.
