We have been a local, family run real estate business for over thirty nine years, starting in 1982. Our office was started by my mother, Alicia C. Miller, out of our family home in Wells, NY in 1982. As the business grew, we moved in 1994 to our present location @ 1330 Main Street in the hamlet of Wells.
Speculator Village is on scenic Lake Pleasant, surrounded by mountains, and is home to great ice fishing and snowmobiling on hundreds of miles of trails, as well as xc skiing and skating. It is at 1800' above sea level, . It is the only real village in Hamilton County. It has a variety of business like restaurants, inns, a ski area as well as a supermarket and department store too.
This covers properties in the Town of Lake Pleasant + On Lake Pleasant Lake, Including Lakefront Homes in Speculator Village & homes in Echo Lake and Sacandaga Lake. Lake Pleasant is both a lake and a town, surrounded by mountains. Lake Pleasant Lake is home to great ice fishing and snowmobiling on hundreds of miles of trails, as well as xc skiing and skating.
Benson is the first town you come to in Hamilton County, as you go north on NY Route 30 past Northville & Northampton. It is a small town with just one main road, Benson Road or Country Road #6. It is very hilly, woodsy and charming. It boasts Lapland Lakes Cross Country Ski Center as well as it's the true start of the Northville-Lake Placid Hiking Trail.

One of the least professional real estate agencies I have ever encountered. While being shown a property in Hoffmeister by Christy Wilt on a Saturday, I was informed that the property would be available through at least Monday to accommodate other interested buyers who had an appointments then. I was interested in placing an offer on the property and contacted Ms. Wilt by e-mail specifying that and asking for her assistance. No reply for nearly a day. I then called her cell phone and left a voicemail reiterating my interest in putting an offer on the property. Again no response for an entire afternoon

She will sell you a house, thats for sure. Although once you buy that house and want to sell it because the taxes are too high it might take you a while. Nothing to do with the quality of service or real estate abilities, just Not too many people looking to spend hundreds of thousands on a house over an hour from anywhere that employs and pays well enough to afford them.
