At Uniquely Cats Veterinary Center, we believe that truly excellent feline medicine must involve caring for the WHOLE cat as an individual being - not just an ear or a lump, and not as "a case of" a particular illness. We believe that excellent care requires understanding the cause of a problem, and that medicating a cat without first understanding a problem often does more harm than good.
During our regular business hours, the medical staff and resources at Uniquely Cats Veterinary Center are available to help should your kitty require emergency care. If possible, please call in advance so we can prepare for your arrival. We may refer critical care cases where 24/7 hospitalization is needed.

We will handle getting kitty's previous medical records (No need for the address, etc on Boulder County Hospitals). Please list ALL hospitals. This is the most positive experience I've ever had at a vet. The vet was so thorough and attentive and knowledgeable; I loved how during the exam she went at my cat's pace and wasn't just manhandling him around. The staff was so kind and I felt very safe and comfortable with everybody; they even asked for my pronouns. I’ve never seen my nervous cat so relaxed and fear free at a vet.

This vet does understand cats better than a non cat specialist vet and the office is super cool. The environment is nice but the actual vet made me feel so terrible that I will never go back. I was never informed on the cost of a visit when I went in and then was hit with a huge bill for everything they wanted to do, even though I went in for just a check up. When I was told that it was a bit out of my price range to do everything right then and there I was made to feel bad for not having the money and like I was a terrible pet owner for not being able to cough up $1300 on the spot. These people are the best! I’ve been taking my FIV+ kitty Edgar here since the day I adopted him. They’ve helped me learn so much about providing compassionate care to cats with FIV, and despite Edgar having an attitude at the vet, everyone still treats him with the same love. When I’ve had urgent problems in the past they’ve been able to get Edgar right in. Dr. Fine’s excellent care makes it so that Edgar lives a very normal, playful, and healthy life. Can’t recommend them enough <3

I love uniquely cat and the staff. Their facility is amazing and they do well to educate people on proper cat dieting.
My main issue with this vet is that they do not attempt to work with their clientele's needs at all.
They have a "it's my way or the highway" mentality when it comes to their specific cat diet plan. The food they recommend is great but also some of the most expensive and hard to find food on the market right now, especially right now due to shortages caused by the pandemic.
Even if you try to ask them to work with you on other options they make you feel like your a bad cat owner

My last visit was only the second in-person consultation I've done with Pippin's vet in the year we have been going. I've always felt they had good "catbed-side" manners even while doing zoom or phone calls during quarantine. On this last visit I received the horrible news that Pippin, at 14 years old, had reached his terminus. She was very good at being straight forward, relating the results of his panels and x-rays and what those meant. I was able to understand and appreciate what was happening at a slower rate rather than the shock of the news all at once. & the

We have been seeing the vets at Uniquely Cats for over a year and it's always a pleasure to speak with them. They provide lots of information and give plenty of time to ask questions. Everyone is very caring. From the tech who picked our boy up at the door and listened and relayed my newest concerns, to the vet who gave the checkup who listened and answered questions. You all have such great compassion and patience.

A bit extreme on their COVID restrictions at this point in the game (05-25-2021). Everyone seemed knowledgable and pleasant. The behavior towards my cat was reasonable and not overly "precious". The requirement of a full exam in order to board my cat seemed excessive to me. I only agreed because I was having no luck finding another place. I did not particularly appreciate the up-sell tactics, but I have also experienced worse. My overall impression was slightly positive. They appeared to listen to what I told them about my cat.

Our cat can be a little..."John Wick" when it comes to going to the vet. Despite this, all of the staff are understanding and do not put him at fault. The vet even wrote they all still have an "unrequited love for him". We could not ask for better treatment and understanding people.

This place isn't a Veterinarian Center, it's a nutrition center. I took my sick cat there and spent 900.00 for them to tell me that feeding my cat what all the "zombies" has been taught to feed him like wet cst food and dry kibble is causing gut inflammation. that inflammation is going all over causing fevers and vomiting and my poor boys nasal discharge.

I am just blown away by this place I could cry. I've had a series of awful experiences with vets in my lifetime. When your animal is sick you feel helpless. It cant talk and tell you what its feeling. You would expect a little empathy. Dr. Fern and Dr. Fine have both treated my cat, and they are experts in their field! Never have I had feline vets who knew so much, shared helpful resources, and provided the upmost care for my cat as they have done! I was pleasantly surprised how much knowledge veterinarian, Dr. Goodrich, shared about our cat and felines in general. The appointment was not rushed, and she answered my many questions. Dr. G shared more… information in one visit than I had heard in the previous six visits at other clinics. She is phenomenally well informed on a wide range of cat health concerns.The information was shared in a way that made sense to a non-vet. It is with the trip from Longmont.

After asking them not to clip my cats claws and them agreeing they would not, they did anyway. They also were extremely expensive compared to other amazing vets in the area and they told me it was too difficult to give me an itemized estimate for my cats surgery, which another local very did in a few minutes (this is standard practice anywhere else). I was really unhappy overall with my experience. The bill for the checkup I did there was 4x more than what my current vet would charge. When I showed them the bill they were shocked.

Dr. Fern Slack saw my 19.5 year old Torti today and I walked out of her office with my faith restored in veterinary medicine. Torti had some age related issues and severe matting of her beautiful long hair. Dr. Fern was patient, very comprehensive, caring and extremely knowledgeable about senior cat health. Her veterinary technicians and front desk staff were excellent, all exhibiting thorough knowledge of feline health and compassionate, comprehensive care. I was and still am impressed with Dr. Slack. I brought her a case of a young kitty with very vague symptoms that often led to lethargy, not eating and reclusiveness. After 5 previous vets ; who offered me massive surgeries, prescription diets, putting my mostly playful cat to sleep; I decided I wanted a "cat only vet" who could under stand nuances to help me get my cat healthy. We talked for over an hour and a half and I heard her passion with science to back it up about nutrition and what she noticed about my cat.
