Born in Uganda to Rwandese refugee Tutsi parents, I began life in a world of segregation, civil war, and abject poverty. Unable to return to the war-torn place of my origin at the time-and plagued by violent discrimination in my adopted country-I fought to find safe haven. As a child, the only constants were my grandfather, our cows and dogs.
Even when your pet is healthy, Pet Wellness Exams are vital. When treated early, there are issues that can be quickly and cheaply solved, which is why we're committed to practicing preventative care at our Veterinary Hospital. Both Dr Kalenzi and Dr Reynolds have recently worked with my cat to help diagnose him with diabetes quickly while being conscious of my finances. Both have taken adequate time with my cat and myself to make sure we are taking the right steps to maintain and potentially beat diabetes (fingers crossed). Most recently, Dr Reynolds and her assistant Hanna spent time with me making sure I knew how to give injections properly, am able to test his blood properly, and be familiar with the disease as much as possible so that we can continue to have a happy and as healthy of a cat as possible. Although the

Dr. Kalenzi gives me hope for humanity. He truly brings heart to healthcare. His knowledge, passion and attitude are remarkable. The whole team at Niwot Vet Clinic have been so kind and helpful to me and my Pitbull. Yesterday my Dog had a tooth extraction and they let me sit with her as she fell asleep for the procedure as well as after while she was waking up. Dr. Kalenzi's beautiful wife came in and didn't think twice to help clean up my dog's behind as she had just gone #2 while still groggy from anesthesia. I have also worked with one of the other vets there and she was great

We took our dogs to Dr. Courtley for the last 5 years. Recently our great dane was limping and in a lot of pain. We took him to Dr. Courtley 3 different times over the course of 3 months to only be told it was a torn ligament and a very slow heal. We ended up getting a second opinion and it turned out to be osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and he had to have his leg amputated that day because he was in so much pain (for over 3 months). He is now on chemo and we're told only has 6-12 months. We have requested our records from Dr. Courtley on several occasions and have yet to receive a return call

Dr. Courtley is a superior veterinarian which is why I am happy to drive from Denver to bring my dog to him. He has provided accurate and level headed advice when my ill and/or injured dog was in for care. I have never received bad information and sincerely appreciate that my concern for my dog has never been manipulated to motivate unnecessary testing or treatment. Dr. Courtley provides treatment that is necessary, does it well, and I am grateful for him.

I took my small dog here for several years. Each year I asked if she should have her teeth cleaned .He said no need just give her bones to chew. Her teeth looked so brown and breath was bad. We went to a new vet and her teeth were so bad she had 4 extracted. My other dog had an eye condition . Again Courley said the cloudy looking eyes were not treatable just genetic, we finally went to a specialist. Turns out there were drops that would have slowed the degeneration but my dog went blind because he was not treated sooner.Dr Courley is incompetent .

Doug Courtley at Niwot Veterinary Clinic has been our vet for many years. He has been spot on with our dog....diagnosing and treating him with compassion at a reasonable cost. He's been A+ with our dog, B+ with our cat. He is very responsive. Once I found a stray with only a rabies tag from Niwot Veterinary Clinic. I called their answering service and he went into his office on that Sunday to look up the dog's owner.

We brought our 2-year-old cat into this guy less than 24 hours ago, she was vomiting and hypersalivating profusely. He spent all of 5 minutes examining her, convinced us that she was fine, and had just eaten something that tasted bad, i.e. a spider. I was made to feel like I was making a big deal out of nothing.
Our cat is now in renal and liver failure at the emergency vet. Her prognosis is poor. I can't help but feel that if we'd not wasted time with this guy, things would be looking much better for her.
Bottom line: if you want someone who will take the time to give your pet a thorough

My sister has written a review and I will write my own. We brought our dear cat to this vet at the first sign of trouble; she was vomiting and drooling. The vet was nonchalant and said our cat would be fine. He acted like we were over-reacting and I stupidly trusted his opinion. I asked specifically for signs we should watch for and if we should be concerned about dehydration with all of the issues. He laughed a bit and said that he was sure she had just eaten a spider and if she'd consumed anything serious she would be showing signs of confusion or seizures. He said that dehydration was

I have been bringing my pets to this Veterinary Clinic for over 7 years. The doctor is very kind and caring. He helped me for years care for a sick cat that I loved. His prices are very reasonable and he gives excellent advice. I trust him entirely. As long as he remains open, I will continue to take my pets here.
