Essential Access Health supports the delivery of quality sexual and reproductive health care in all health care settings through clinic support initiatives and community outreach and education. As the administrator of California's Title X federal family planning program, Essential Access Health leads the largest Title X system in the country and has served as the lead Title X grantee in the state of California for 50 years.
Essential Access Health operates the largest Title X (ten) system in the nation that supports the delivery of quality family planning and related services for low-income and uninsured patients throughout California. Title X of the Public Health Service Act was established in 1970 with broad bi-partisan support.
Essential Access Health's STI Prevention Center is a leading resource for best practices in STI screening, testing, and treatment.
Essential Access Health works in close partnership with the California Department of Public Health STD Control Branch, the Los Angeles County Division of HIV/STD Programs, county health departments, our Title X network and other community providers to support the delivery of quality care and prevent the spread of STIs.The STI Prevention Center's primary focus is the prevention of chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV and HIV.

TeenSource+ is a new Essential Access initiative that centers youth voices, experiences, and leadership in program, policy, and message development. TeenSource+ fosters and facilitates collective action to strategically and intentionally expand our reach, particularly among youth that have historically and systemically faced barriers to care.
The Essential Access Health Research Center is nationally recognized as a leading research center with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. For over 35 years, the Research Center has conducted cutting edge clinical trials studying the safety, acceptability and efficacy of sexual and reproductive health products including IUDs, vaginal rings, male and female condoms, microbicides, emergency contraceptives and fertility monitors.
