Before: Front (left) Central tooth has a poor restoration. Does not look natural and is not contoured properly to match the gumline of the rest of the teeth. After: Replaced with an All Porcelain Crown (no metal). Tooth is now contoured to match the rest of the gumline. Restored tooth looks very natural and matches the shape and color of the patient's teeth.

After going to an unreliable dentist most of my life, it was time to look for a new dentist that I could trust. Dr. Shacknow was that dentist and his practice made me feel comfortable and calm while providing top notch service and a new perspective on oral hygiene.

The doctor is great however do NOT do business with them if you're not sure about your insurance would cover your visit. I spoke to them in June and gave all my insurance information (Horizon BCBS Healthy Smiles-$80/month) and the lady later told me that I'm covered. The insurance would pay 80% and I'm responsible for the other 20%. I had my dental visit on July 3rd and now they're telling me I'm out of network and I owe them $315! If I knew I was going to be out-of-network I would've never gone to them. Why would I pick a doctor who isn't in-network?! I'm not even sure if they do payment plans

Dr. Shacknow and his team have been providing my dental care for almost 20 years. Dr. Shacknow and staff are knowledgeable, efficient, and a compassionate group of professionals. The receptionist is friendly and professional. The Dental Hygienist performed as good a cleaning as I ever had. The dentist gave me a thorough checkup and answered all my concerns. They are a wonderful group who will make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Even if it is your first visit, they will treat you like family.
