Mr. Abernathy was my ex's divorce attorney. I highly recommend him , in fact my own attorney did not help me and made a few mistakes. But Mr. Abernathy made sure to follow all of the divorce laws and covered me as well. He gave me a creative divorce and I was able to stay on my ex's medical insurance. I left being legally separated and my ex's insurance paid 85,000 to have my surgery done. Not only that but i got to go to the surgeon of my choice. I will always be so grateful for him. I’ve been in and out of court with multiple attorneys for 15 years now. Stay away from this guy. he is a total waste of money. Not professional at all. If he is your lawyer he will drag to empty your pockets and if he is on the other side he will drag, play games till both parties loose all what they have. Attorney Christopher Abernathy and his co counsel attorney Eugene Carson dragged my case for five years and cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars in attorney fees. Abernathy and carson lied in court and in their declarations under penalty of perjury. They met secretly with our forensic accountant Jack Zuckerman CPA and helped him drag the accounting for as long as they could in order to charge tens of thousands of dollars in accounting and attorney fees. I have all the evidence to prove it. These people are very dishonest.

First off I want to start by saying I have been in court dealing with the father of my daughter since she was six months old and now she is about to be 10 years old, needless to say I have had my fair share of court hearings, mediations, and trial. I had high hopes that I was going to get help with getting my custody and child support from a previous lawyer figured out. Chris came highly recommended and I was confident I would be putting a retainer down during my consultation today. I was very sadly disappointed. I hired another attorney before Chris, this other attorney cost was tens of thousands of dollars. They took 3.5 years and it felt as if they were dragging their feet to bill me more hours. Christopher Abernathy has no patience for anyone who is unfamiliar with how the law works. I was in a very bad place discovering that my husband had taken 29 years of my Social Security, had 3 different EIN #'s for our one business and hidden bank accounts.
I left our 4200 square foot home to live in a one bedroom rental with a lady and her daughter for two years and my husband stayed in our home which his new girlfriend eventually bought. In that two years my husband didn't share any of "our"

If I could give a negative review I would definitely do so. This attorney drags out your case. The opposing attorney files paperwork on time, while Chris Abernathy is struggling to file response three months later because he is taking vacation and then immediately after his vacation he is gone on camping trip. Stay away from this attorney.

I am so glad that I chose Mr Abernathy to represent me. I had a previous attorney that did nothing but harm to my case. From the moment I went into his office for my consultation I felt a big weight lifted off my shoulders. Super disappointed. I called three times and left voice messages every single time. Never received a call back from anyone. Even left my email and no one bothered to contact me on any portal.

I read the positive reviews here and thought I would give Mr. Abernathy an opportunity to discuss my case. I telephoned the office and spoke with Tina, his legal assistant. Tina said she would have Mr. Abernathy call me back. Three days passed with no return call, so I contacted the office again thinking that perhaps Tina misplaced my number. Tina didn't seem to remember me, but this time she said she would send Mr. Abernathy an email. Really? I referred myself to Mr. Abernathy after watching him in court represent another person while waiting for my case to be heard. I was shocked at how well he was able to maneuver the court and destroy some false allegations that the other side had made in an effort to get more money (child support). I was a severe underdog in my case and after being fleeced by another attorney it was tough to hire another person but all I can tell you is I hope more people find Mr. Abernathy first. When I hired Mr. Abernathy the opposing counsel and judge pretty much laughed at us because I was in such bad shape
