Tried this place today after seeing the review for the egg foo young. Well let me say he doesn't know egg foo young!! It was bland needed seasoning and was lacking a lot! I came home and added salt to the gravy and 5 spice cause that was the best egg foo young I had it was well seasoned. I so remembered this ! But this one trash! Needed too much help.

Hunan Beef was good but I asked for extra spicy and it was lacking any spice. Spring Roll was mediocre.
The Orange Chicken was like nothing I've ever had.. it looked like Hunan Beef and tasted terrible. Meat was touch - had to really chew on it. 3 pieces of broccoli! Very, very sweet- too sweet in my opinion.
I've had their sushi and it was very good...
Pretty disappointed in this meal...

We have been fans of this restaurant for many years, and have received consistently received excellent service, delicious food (Chinese and Japanese sushi), and good value. Try the Peking Chicken or Mooshu pork, both excellent and our go to dishes, and the Miami sushi roll is to die for. Both eat in (nice atmosphere) and carry out (quick service) are very good. Never been disappointed at Peking Chef!

I have a mixed review about this place. Went out with a group to celebrate last night. It was everyone's first time at this establishment. The decor was OK but it was freezing in the restaurant. Even the server had a winter coat on. The initial approach from the server was very unpleasant. I am not sure what the problem was and was confused why she was being very abrupt and unfriendly since most of the review that I read on here stated they experienced a great service. There is a bit of a language barrier here, but as long as you point correctly, you will be fine. Not saying they were terribly rude to me personally, but she said that I pointed to wrong item. I did say chicken, but I pointed to shrimp.
All and all the food tastes better than some of the other Columbia establishments. The strip mall unfortunately is going the way of the Dodo. Way too many vacancies! Looks like a great place to get shanked at night.

Finally, a good Chinese restaurant that delivers to Laurel! The restaurants that are closer to us are not good at all. We received the menu for this restaurant in Columbia and decided to give it a try.
We ordered the egg rolls, edamame, egg drop soup, combination fried rice, and chicken broccoli.
The delivery took an hour, but to be fair, the weather is nasty today and we are in a different city. The driver was very nice. The order arrived complete, no errors. Food was delicious. My chicken could have used more seasoning, but it was still good. Those egg rolls were yummy and not greasy. Edamame

We received our order fast, but we were shocked at the poor quality and taste. The oil used to cook the food tasted weeks old. We are wondering when was the last time it may have been changed. All three of our dishes tasted EXACTLY the same. Disgusting. I have displayed a picture of the "pad thai" that was sold to me. There are broad noodles, two bean sprouts, and a whole bunch of vegetables that have no business in pad thai. Like baby corn and snow peas. I called and they tell me "this is how they do pad thai" in their restaurant. There was NO LIME NO PEANUTS NO FISH SAUCE NO TOFU NO FLAVOR. The

One of the rudest staff I have ever met in my life,,,. Today I ordered fried broccoli and mushrooms, and I got big bag full of baby corn and broccoli , I returned it to old lady and she made sure to argue with me about the chef making mistake of not knowing how to cook

I love this restaurant and order from it often. The space is really nice, usually quiet, and the service is excellent. The various options we've tried are all fantastic (my favorite is the mu shu pork). They also have really good sushi; I like it better than the sushi offered at the next-door Japanese/Hibachi restaurant. Highly recommend this place!

Came to Peking Chef during lunch time and it was a complete Ghost Town. There was no one there, which I guess was good because we had the whole place to ourselves. I ordered the Spicy Salmon roll and the Combination Lo Mein lunch special. I was hoping the Sushi would come out before my meal as I wanted to eat it as an appetizer. Most places I go to, if you get Sushi and a meal, the sushi comes out first. However, this did not happen. 1star is generous. Food is mediocre with nothing special. But most damning is the service attitude. On a saturday with 2 tables, our party stayed just about ten minutes longer to carry on a conversation. The hostess and someone behind the counter start cursing at us in Chinese merely feet away, thinking we didn't pay attention or understand them. Very disrespectful.
We weren't holding up any service (again, because they were only able to fill two tables on a Saturday), nor did we call any additional service after we hand in the check.
