Zen Garden is now proudly serving authentic Peking Duck! A famous and delicious traditional dish, Peking Duck is an excellent choice if you want to experience more authentic Chinese cuisine, culture, and customs. The manner of serving and eating Peking Duck is very unique. The chef slices the slowly roasted whole duck in front of customers, and one duck can serve about 100 very thin slices, each containing both meat and crispy skin.
The delectable slices are served with thin pancakes to wrap green onion, cantaloupe melon, sweet soybean paste, and fresh cucumber together. The best way to enjoy Peking Duck is as follows: take a piece of the pancake in one hand, then put three or four slices of the duck onto the pancake with each of the above mentioned vegetables and seasonings.

Food is decent, service really polite but real slow, most of them are lack on experience, no uniforms, hair not tied up, ordered the cumin beef with bread, instead of bread, they gave mushi shell, asked why, got told that they ran out the bread, but authentic dish like this one, how you eat it with mushi shell, should have told me that when I order it, or maybe they just trying to fool me, but anyway, good flavor tho, hopefully they can get it right for me next time when I go back. I like the Peking duck.
Overall, nice place and nice people with good food, staff needs more training.

If you want true authentic Chinese (rather than the fusion ones), this is the place. The Peking duck we ordered was delicious and reminds me of home. Other Szechuan dishes were also very good (though a bit on the greasy side mind you). The owner and waiters were also very kind. Overall I really enjoyed dining here and would def come back in the future.

I am so disappointed after ordering the “Sushi Pizza” from the “Sushi Bar” as an appetizer and receiving cooked tuna and salmon on a soggy tortilla. The tortilla was supposed to be toasted and no where on the menu or no person told me the ingredients would be cooked. Also ordered mediocre beef and broccoli and chicken fried rice. I am legitimately sad about my dinner this evening after looking forward to a good meal.

Clean, organized restaurant that serve high quality authentic Chinese food and personal favorite in the DMV area.
This is an family business that treats its customers with maximum respect. (I help the owner translate for another table to let them know they he is really sorry for the long wait and give them a kind discount).
I personally come here with friends about once a month and would always sit here for hours (thank you for never kicking us out after multiples hours)

Absolutely some of the best Asian food we have ever had. The sushi was super fresh and tasty and the soups (hot and sour, chicken wonton) were delicious and the perfect temp. HUGE quantities of food and absolutely delicious. The chicken Pad Thai and Ma Po Tofu were so good but we couldn’t come close to finishing our plates. Do yourself a favor and stop by and try their extensive menu of food.
