Best mac-and-cheese ever. This is a top tier BBQ place. All the right flavors, nothing grossly overpowering. I've found 2 types of BBQ places: the seasonings and sauces and food is just overpoweringly flavorful that I'm trying to literally wipe off any trace of sauce or seasoning half way through the meal. Or, places that have never seen a spice rub or made any form of glaze or sauce - the meal ends up so bland I can hardly touch it. NOT Cubby's they've got everything perfect. Down to an absolute science. I really don't even know why I'm wasting my time writing a review

We needed a quick place to pick up dinner one Tuesday night. Cubby's was on the way home, and I remember passing by it a few times, plus it having pretty good reviews, so we decided to order from here. We got a full rack of ribs, and they were really good. They fell right off the bone, and the sauce was great. We just ate it with a salad at home since this was less than a week before our wedding and we were still doing our low-carb wedding diet, so unfortunately, that means we didn't get to try any of the sides that we would normally get (aka anything with carbs lol). The food is overprice and absolutely not worth it. it’s like walking into a fast food restaurant, you serve your own drinks they only bring the food to your table nothing else when you go and ask for anything they seem bothered. I ask my husband to get me steak sauce for their dry steak they know it was 2 of us they only gave us 1 in a small container with a drop of sauce he wanted to then ask for hot sauce but did not want to disturb them from their personal conversation. Poor service, nasty food i only gave it a 1 star because their Mac and cheese was ok. And our waiter spoke no English đŸ˜

I been to this place once and I have been passing it for years yesterday I decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed was the prices were not just high but totally out of control. I ordered a cheeseburger platter that came with a side of fries and a little plastic container the size of what you would put ketchup in or mustard to go of coleslaw. I asked for chili and cheese on the fries and I got a fountain soda $24.90. So right off the bat I wasn't happy but on top of it the food was below average the fries were swimming in grease the burger was not freshly made for that money it

Came here since I was around the area with a friend and remembered I have always wanted to try this spot out.
It was late and there was no wait. Once I entered you place your order in the counter with the huge menu behind it. Ended up getting the full rack of ribs ($30- enough for two ppl) and added chilli and cheese to the fries. Got a side of honey mustard ($1) which was amazing and big (check my pic).

This is a gem. Especially for those who like BBQ. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The mac n cheese is to die for!! Soo delicious and cheesy! We also ordered burgers, hotdogs, ribs, and fries with cheese/gravy. Everyone enjoyed their food, no complaints!

Ok.. new to the neighborhood. Foodie from nyc. Supporter of well made, affordable grub. So why on a date with da and he wanted check this place out.. he's a foodie like me. So why not. I have never been disappointed by Cubby's. They are consistently delicious. The ribs are slathered in bbq sauce and fall right off the bone. Their wings are crispy and the sauce has just enough kick. The Cajun fries are perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese is the creamiest. Prices are a bit on the higher end but definitely worth it.

I've heard really great things about Cubby's from friends since I moved out here. I was impressed and ready to taste it after reading so many positive reviews. However, this was the most disappointing "BBQ" I've ever had. I'm not sure what Bergen County considers good food, but this was not it. The food was so dry and tasteless. At the minimum some salt and pepper wouldn't kill anyone.

I travel far and wide for good BBQ and pride myself on my own hobby of smoking 'cue. That said, I am always eager to try bbq from new spots. Cubby's is a different animal, though. My family and I have been going here for decades. That said, this is not the BBQ you are expecting. If you are looking for something to compare to Dinosaur, Reilly's, or House of Cue, or true southern bbq, this will not fit the Bill. Cubby's, in my opinion, is comfort food as opposed to true bbq. The burgers are excellent and consistent. Their chili is one of my favorites. The gumbo is also excellent

Decent BBQ place with reasonable prices. The ribs were ok and overall good food. The staff is extremely friendly so that’s a plus. If you are a BBQ connoisseur this is not the place for you. Just a decent spot if you are in the area. I had 1/2 rack of ribs and the chili fries with a side of sweet plantains.

Stopped in and ordered a half rack of ribs a baked sweet potato, garlic bread and a blue moon. What a great meal. Seven ribs were tangy and juicy. Fell right off the bone. Finger lickin good. Potato came with cinnamon butter on the side. Soooo good, I took the leftovers home. Garlic bread fresh and toasty. Top it off with a frosty beer. Fantastic. I can't wait to try the steaks next.

I went to Cubby's for lunch and shared a full rack of the famous baby back ribs with a friend along with a side of mac and cheese. The ribs were possibly the best I've ever had! The meat was so tender and came off the bones so easily that I could simply use a fork to eat it! The bbq sauce was pretty good. The ribs also came with garlic bread, which was soft and tasty. The mac and cheese was fine. The full rack of ribs is $25 and was enough for me and my friend to feel full after sharing it, making it a good deal.

This is a very cool place! The chopped pork sandwich was excellent. The staff was great it had an all around good feel. They have a large menu with steaks, chicken and pork. The ice tea was very good as well. The only thing that I did not like was that the chopped pork came mixed with bbq. Good bbq spots always give you the pork and leave sauce on table to add as needed. Otherwise, it was a great experience and I highly recommend.
