Services
In 1923 John Marin established the first Marin Funeral Home. Having modest beginnings as a carpenter then making wooden caskets. After many years he decided to pursue a funeral career and opened the first Marin Funeral Home. His children and their children followed in his footsteps. Now after 82 years the 3rd generation continues on the family tradition.
Marin Funeral Home provides a peaceful and tranquil environment for making arrangements and holding services for loved ones. We offer at need and pre-arrangements (for those who would like to express their wishes prior to the time of final resting). Marin Funeral Home is located at 2744 W. 51st Street (on the corner of 51st and California Avenue).
We offer a wide range of services that combine quality, service and value. We believe every service should celebrate the life of the deceased and should be designed and personalized to meet the desires of the family. The funeral directors at Marin Funeral Home are available to answer any questions that you might have.

My father recently passed and Marin Funeral Home & Cremation were very understanding of this very emotionally difficult time in my family’s life. Since my first contact with them just hours after he passed and having him picked up at my home, to preparing his body for viewing and religious services, cremation and picking up his ashes to getting the appropriate documentation for his burial in Mexico — absolutely nothing but support, understanding and exceptional service. And Gina, Liz and Aldo have been checking-in to check on our emotional well being since the service at the funeral home almost

Aldo and his family were very helpful to us. We lost our Dad on June 2021. It was very hard to find a place where you could trust my Dad’s final days would be taken Care of exceptionally. God answered our prayers when we found Aldo and Marin Funeral Home. Aldo was very compassionate and patient with us. Losing our Dad is definitely the hardest time of our lives but God gave us comfort and support through people like Aldo and his family.

Marin Funeral Home offered us so much support during our lost. Without their guidance, we most likely wouldn’t had known what to do. The sympathy and empathy offered by every single member of Marin Funeral Home was a warm welcome every time they approached us. I don’t wish for people to go thru what we went thru, but if you find yourself in such tragedy, Marin Funeral Home will offer all their support to you and your loved ones. I hope not to be there any time soon again, but if the time comes, I would definitely use them again. Thank you Aldo and family for all your help.

Liz was great in helping my brother & I getting my mother here to Chicago from Florida. The whole experience was pleasant even though we are grieving. The service was beautiful and the staff is great!! The prices were very affordable compare to other places we visited. If I could give more stars I would!

I want to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Marin Funeral Home for their help after the unexpected loss of our daughter. We came to Chicago from out of state with no idea what to do or where to start. Liz guided us through every step with compassion and expertise. They have reached out several times since to check on us. Our family is so appreciative for all you have done during this very difficult time.

Aldo and the entire staff were very attentive and supportive to our family's during our time of mourning. They made it possible for our family to arrange a funeral service for our father during the covid-19 pandemic, which needless to say was a challenging feat. It was very satisfying and comforting to have our extended family and friends join us in paying our final respects to my father. Our since gratitude and appreciation to Marin Funeral Home for their service and support.

My father passed away about 3 months ago and the way they prepared him was absolutely beautiful. This is a family owned funeral and they all work together to make it easier for the grieving family in such a difficult process. My family and I were very pleased with the care that Marin Funeral Services provided. They were very helpful in answering any questions we had. I highly recommend .
