Dr. Edward T McGinley, LAc is a Florida licensed acupuncturist. He graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair N.J. and received a Master's degree in acupuncture from the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami before relocating to Key West. Originally from the Philadelphia area, he is a graduate of the William Penn Charter School, and attended Ponoma College in California.
Acupuncture is a treatment method used by practitioners of Oriental Medicine. In acupuncture therapy very fine sterile needles are inserted at different points in the body to regulate the Qi mechanism and treat disease. In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) listed a number of conditions in which they say acupuncture has been proven effective.
